@Rookie_Monster
That's an interesting list. I just want to address and correct you on some of your points
1. Opinion. Not a fact.
3. So you're saying that friend notifications, a feature that Sony acknowledges and is most likely coming to the PS4 soon in a future software update is 1 of the deciding factors for purchasing an Xbox One over a PS4? Lol are you serious??
4. This feature is not exclusive to the Xbox One. Y...
25? How the heck do you get them for $25?
@NPA
I don't know how much simpler I could have worded my comment. What I was saying was pretty straightforward imo. The fact that you still don't get what I was saying is puzzling to me but I'll reiterate.
"So you are saying its the devs who choose resolution and frame rates on ps4 and if they wanted to they could have locked 60fps on more games."
Of course. Any game can hit 1080p 60fps on the PS4 and also the Xbox One...
Games like this, Murdered: Soul Suspect and Tomb Raider: Definition Edition just goes to show that games that are 1080p on both consoles can hit 60fps on the PS4 if developers choose to take the time to utilize the PS4's hardware.
I'm glad these guys are taking advantage of the PS4's hardware instead of taking the easy route and capping it at the same framerate as other consoles.
Wow.. and these are sold numbers, not shipped. The PS4 is a beast. 30 million consoles sold in only 2 years...
All I gotta say is https://www.youtube.com/wat...
@CorndogBurglar
I agree with everything you're saying and that's why I'm going to even hit the agree button. I understand why DLC is implicated and why it's important to developers. You're responding to mute arguments and points that I never made. You assumed I outright disliked DLC in general when I don't. I'm not on the anti-DLC wagon either. That's why I specifically pointed out that I didn't like pre-order DLC and pre-launch DLC but I h...
Yes. These developers are taking content out of the main game and selling it as extra content when it shouldve been in the main game for everyone that bought it. It's no different from me ordering a pizza pie from my local pizza shop and them only giving me 6 slices and then telling me I have to buy the other 2 slices to get the full pie when I originally should've gotten 8 slices.
Pre order DLC and pre launch DLC is a rip off, period.
I guess I'll keep this 1 related to gaming and this site
I'm thankful for N4G because
1) N4G post's stories from a bunch of different sites and I can find out about news, sites, reviews, etc i might not have known about had I only been on 1 site. I feel like ALL the information I need is on N4G.
2) You guys are doing this giveway
Let me break it down for you. I call this consolematics.
The PS4 dominating in hardware = more people buying software for it. More people buying software for it = more people playing multiplats online on the PS4.
This isn't hard to understand. It's simple, it really is lol
@sakattack500
You're right, gamers are to blame and a big part of the problem is that a lot of these gamers are young kids and teenagers that may have started gaming last gen or this gen when these types of business practices started happening. They weren't gaming in an era where this crap didn't happen so these shady business practices are perfectly normal to them. Gamers of today have been indoctrinated to accept these types of shady business practices as being ...
It does look good. Emulation sure did this game some good.
Imagine able to shareplay PS1/PS2 games as well. That would be pretty sick too considering a lot of the PS2 games back then had splitscreen components but didn't have any online components. I'd love too go 1 on 1 with people online in games like Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Burnout Dominator, Sonic Riders and Crash Team Racing, etc lol
Bloodborne is not only the best game I've played this year, but it's the best game I've played so far this entire generation. The sense of accomplishment that you get after beating Bloodborne is second to none. I haven't felt the same type of sense of accomplishment with any other game in a very long time like I did with Bloodborne
Btw, that information you gave me was apparently a reporting error so can I get actual evidence that the Paris terrorist attacks were planned on the PS4 though? Because so far I haven't seen any.. All I've seen is people and the media making claims and reports that the Paris attacks were planned on the PS4 with no evidence to back it up so can I get a link to an article where it states that they found PS4's in the homes of the terrorists that participated in the Paris attacks? I j...
How do these people even know that terrorist were using the PS4 to plan the Paris terrorist attacks? Is there any evidence to this or is this just another way for politicians and the mainstream media to blame video games and demonize video games when they can't find a culprit to blame?
@brokasfawk
Well I hope Sony works diligently with the authorities to catch these bastards and prevent more atrocities like this from happening. We don't need people ...
Thanks man. This was helpful.
I agree. Good job Sony! People have been asking for Sony to bring backwards compatibility to the PS4. Well here you go.. Peoples wishes are being granted. Sony is adding it.
PS1 emulation is definitely coming as well. I mean it's pretty obvious. If they're adding PS2 emulation to the PS4 then they're most definitely going to add PS1 emulation.
Not everything on this list is slated for 2016 but Horizon is slated for 2016 so I don't understand why you and so many people think Horizon is going to get delayed especially since the games been in development since 2011.
Who knows though? Horizon might get delayed but that goes for any game. Any game can get delayed, not just Horizon.. Delays aren't exclusive to PlayStation games
Tell me about it, look at this list of upcoming PS4 exclusives

And the crazy thing is that there's still more to come at PSX. Sony is killing it with games right now.
@xHeavyx
I agree. I'm not saying it isn't a cool or great feature to have because it is is. There's no denying that but it definitely isn't a system seller. If it was the Wii U wouldn't be doing as poorly as it's doing. The Wii U might not be in first or second place but it definitely wouldn't be doing as poorly as it is now in terms of sales if backwards compatibility was indeed as system seller like people are making it out to be. I'm not say...
I didn't go crazy this holiday but out of curiosity I bought The Witcher 3 for $25 on Amazon since I kept hearing about how great it is and how it's GOTY
I also got a PS4 controller for $40 on Amazon.
Lastly, I'd like to get a year of PS Plus on sale since mines runs out on December 10th lol
