@Masamori Sumimura
It has to be or else people who navigate with Kinect will feel penalized when they have to wait 4 seconds for each of their selection to resgister.
I think I will enter the discussion and set everyone at peace (or not). Yes both companies are reporting shiped consoles.
Here you can find Sony's breakdown untill Q2 : http://www.scei.co.jp/corpo...
As you can see as of September 30 they have shiped 41.6 million console
MS doesn't provide a table like this so I will put here one year worth of MS s...
I was overwhelmed by emotion at the end when you start to overcome the "grey world" and destroy one by one those ugly masts.
I called it a long time ago I knew MS would buy any company that could be used by competitors to rival kinect. And I knew next would be Canesta if Toshiba canned it's motion sensor integrated TV, and voilà :
"MS didn't spend any time in developping kinect, they licenced Gesturetek motion control software that existed for 15 years (same as the Eyetoy), then they looked for a company selling depth-sensing cameras (or Zcam) that could work with it. They bought...
@Too Pawned
I bet IGN will give the device a very positive but very undeserved review.
BS they didn't research anything, the first Kinect "prototype" is the 3DV Time-of-Flight camera from the same-name company which MS bought, they also took a participation in PrimeSens at that time (which also had a 3D sensor developped for navigating menues).
When they saw how expensive it would be to implement the 3DV cam (similar cams price range is 8'000$ to 20'000$), they turned to PrimeSens and their way cheaper RGB-D sensor, took another participat...
"or a game that just tracks your legs on the Eye Toy"
You didn't research enough :

If anything this proves investors are now keeping both eyes on the Xbox division and will not tolerate any more losses which forces Ballmer and Co to walk on eggshells.
Not only are they horrible but they're fake as hell... selecting something takes at least 4 seconds, here they cut it to 1 second to make it seem really fast and responsive.
And look at the 3rd vid at 1:16 where a little warning "screen shots simulated" appears when people are video chatting from computer to Xbox. In clear it means "it doesn't exist but it could be done like that" and people will believe they can actually do that.
I said that a week ago.
"You know what's strange, that NPD decides to cut out monthly numbers out of the blue just before Kinect launch. There will be no contradictor when MS announces stellar sales figures for kinect creating a fake hype around the product."
why talk about the bundle, many people who already own the camera only need the PS Move. Look at Amazon the PS Move is backordered while there are apparently plenty of bundles left.
Well it's easy MS doesn't supply game store to then brag about Kinect selling out and generate hype and demand for their flawed product.
According to this at least : http://www.next-gen.biz/new...
"Multiple Game outlets are telling customers that pre-ordering Kinect quickly is the only way to secure one at launch as there will be no stock in stores when...

I think MS knows that Kinect is their last chance in the console business before the investors decide to pull out the plug, and therefore is pressuring NPD not to realease figures that could hinder hype.
"Sony’s God Of War III was the bestselling individual software SKU in the US during March, shifting 1.1 million copies, according to data from the NPD Group."

1.1 million copies sold in March alone in the US... people with half a brain can easily tell that with seven more months and two more territories, the game has proba...
I've said it and I say it again a barren land as we see it in the trailer means nothing good, it means concession have been made graphically, and it's probably to fit the game on the Xbox360.
Clam down that's CGI of course it will look very good.
Edit : oh ! SE already blocked the video.
@Alpha-Male
There isn't any MP but you can esily get 60 hours of SP out of it : 30 hours for the main campain (some battles can take up to one hour to complete on your first playthrough, but you can save at any time) + 30 more hours with the side missions and skirmishes. And if you don't have enough, you can get some extra hours with the DLC missions.
The story is good it has some twists, some very sad moments and also some cheesy one (like three in the all ga...
It's magnificent : http://www.youtube.com/watc...
"I think augmented reality is just about the only thing Kinect does better than Move"
No sorry it couldn't do it "better" just the fact that Kinect camera only tracks at 30fps means automatically more lag than PSEye with it's 60fps even if visually the difference is minimal.
