This game is honestly kind of boring... I rather Haunting Ground as a Clock Tower successor. I had both games at one point, sold both of them at pretty high price tags. Kinda regret solding Haunting Ground though.
Ways to make a quick-buck:
Release a new stylized Megaman more in line with Megaman X series .
Release Resident Evil Outbreak HD with DLC support ($$$).
Scrap that Umbrella Corps trash, it will only tarnish your name.
Release Resident Evil Remake and Zero in a bundle for a fair price.
You're welcome.
Agrias too. Give me Tifa and I'm set though.
Also, liking Cloud's look in this. It's a lot more masculine. In some past-recent iterations he seemed way too girly.
Well, the quality of writting is pretty subjective since its a form of entertainment.
Some people don't like The Last of Us, some people think Heavy Rain is the best game that they ever played. TWD won game of the year and TBH, its nothing that the comic or the TV Show hasn't done before. I guess different media also takes a major part on how a story is perceived. Heavy Rain might've been a flat movie or mostly ok, but as a game, a medium that is mostly viewed as ...
FATTY CHEEKS IS WHAT TURNED THIS GUY OFF. LMAO.
Read that again, guys. Slowly. Its priceless.
It's not so much about the story itself but what you do with it.
I hardly get surprised by movie and game plots nowadays. I can see everything coming a mile away because most things have already been done (and some, arguably, better in the past) and that's ok. I can still have fun with it, as long as you present it to me in a way that is coehesive, compelling and immersive. And say what you want about David Cage the man, but David Cage the game designer is pretty dam...
@LeCreuset
I didn't get it because I don't see any similarities other than where it takes place...
This game is a ghost of its former self.
I think Ex Machina comes to mind, maybe even A.I.
Not RoboCop, though.
Some of these stretch goals sound so generic... Some of them could easily be put in the game if it gets funded, regardless of the goal being met or not.
Actually, you're a perfect example of what's wrong with the author. He most likely cannot identify with a game where you play as a guy rather than a girl (or a game that is lacking kick-ass girls), so he goes on to criticize it. He probably thinks its okay for such a game to exist (since he calls it a "good game" after all) but he can't seem to accept the art and the reality portrayed in it.
There is nothing wrong with a main character being a female, a ...
Eh... Give or take a few years and we'll see.
I don't get this.
Wander from Shadow of the Colossus was actually confused many times for a girl during the early stages of development of the game, because Wander was errouneously translated to Wanda in many gaming websites and nobody complained in those instances (as far as I remember). For all intents and purposes, his appearance is very androginous, which by itself deconstructs the "male power fantasy". You are playing as a scrawny guy who looks like a girl....
So you can't sell it used.
The wind physics is a mess in TR. It hardly moves Lara's hair or her clothes (which contains fur). This is particularly weird since she is on top of a mountain... Where the wind is pretty much stronger than usual.
Nathan has better physics in his chest hair than Lara has in her entire head. That's not to say that the game is not beautiful as it is, but if comparison is made, TR loses every time. Not even gonna point out how Lara looks like a doll and Nathan has lots o...
I don't understand... Reboot the CG film franchise? How, if it is all pretty much independent of each other? It could simply be a sequel...
August is part of the holiday season now, LOL
Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly was AMAZING. As I recall, it sold extremely well, too. I might be wrong in this, but part of why it does so poorly as of now is might be: same ol', same ol'; Nintendo failing to push the series and the pandering to a male-Japanese audience.
I saw videos where Sakura still uses her Cherry Blossom Clash and Hinata still uses her filler Protecting Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms. If two main characters got this treatment, I guess it's a pretty solid guess that Shikamaru, Ino, Choji, Lee and others will remain basically the same.
Here's hoping.
meh game.
