I think FF8 gets more flak because of underdeveloped side-characters. While FF6, 7, 9, 10, etc. Has character-centric missions or episodes developing them dramatically, FF8 just neatly tied all of them in some weird orphanage plot that somehow one of them remembers but chooses to "look cool" and not say anything, while all the others forget because of GF usage, which is a plot element that serves no other purpose than this. It's kind of poor when you compare to something like Yu...
Only thing I don't like is the change to Squall's design. The original matches CG Squall perfectly, the remastered one has much wilder hair and is much more younger looking. Modders might fix this, though. All else is great.
You just described what happened to Detroit: Become Human. lol
Boy, one would assume you played the whole game and not just a demo.
Ann is best girl. Finally!
They can have a character named Alice as an homage, but the character herself will never crossover. She fits in an entirely different timeline and thank God for that.
This game is pretty hard to balance, though. If the survivors are in a group and know what they are doing and communicating properly, it's a pretty hard game for the killer, otheriwse it's a pretty hard game for the survivors. Private matches is where the fun truly lies, IMO. That being said, if I ever got around creating a game like this, I'd try to balance it in a way that the game is pretty easy for the killer, until there is only one survivor standing (granting the last surviv...
I was pretty much despising her until she opened up that she was only acting and doing everything she was doing because she felt she was losing herself by relying on Peter so much in the past, so I can understand people that simply hate this iteration of her character, since I was mostly on this bandwagon until the very end. (:
Kara from Detroit, Aloy from HZD, Chloe (and/or Elena) from Uncharted, Amicia from Plague Tale, Amanda from Alien and Claire from Resident Evil 2 Remake, are some of the new-ish heroines I really dig. They aren't forced and just happen to be female. I kinda like Mary Jane from Spider-Man as well, specially when she opens up her flaws to Peter by the end (basically, she admits being a try-hard and that she should accept help and her limitations, kinda subverts the "I don't need no...
Like I said, give me major discounts, and I don't really care. Otherwise, yes, I will buy physical games. I have over 56 physical games for PS3 and 4, and I plan to keep that up, as I like to own my stuff, not get "passes" at full prices. But you do you!
"A store with no certain future"
Welp, you just described every single digital platform ever! That's why I appreciate the big discounts: I won't lose sleep if I end up losing a few games I bought for next to nothing. When I really want to OWN something, I actually buy it physically. (:
Just want my discounts. Thanks, Epic!
I don't even think they consciously make the characters with Japanese features. It's just what they are used to (and they honestly look more cartoony/animey than actually Japanese). Yuffie is probably the only one who would be actually Japanese if the game were to feature completely realistic designs.
FF7 was never supposed to be realistic, though. The game walks a fine line between realistic and stylized, kinda like a Pixar movie (but more towards realistic). Cloud looks fine.
I know this might be a shocker to some, but, get this, some people actually enjoyed FFXV and it sold quite a bit, so it is hardly a waste of time.
Kinda reminds me of The Order. It was trashed, but itwas overall OK. Just needed a smaller price tag.
Actually, there were quite a lot: "This game is so much fun, but it just does the same thing as Left 4 Dead in 3rd person/its just a zombie game".
Sonya had more abs and broader shoulders than the guys at my gym in MK9. It was really not that sexy.
Well, the game was never about the bewbs, unlike DOA, for example, so... Is this really an issue either way? Plus, the females looked transgender in M9. :S
Yeah. I'd argue that a re-imagining would be something that takes some cues and themes from the original, but actually does it's own thing/spin on it. Case in point: SH Shattered Memories.
