Well, clearly something was off with Uncharted 4 as well. I don't really buy into the idea that a company has this amazing and flawless game on their hands and decides to scrap or change it in favor of a worse and lesser game just 'cuz.

Hmmm. I don't believe that the studio decided to let her go and bring new people in because the game was shaping up to be all it could be. I love her to death, but Uncharted 3 is pretty sub-par, and she had complete freedom with that.
I really love 7. I even enjoy the ship part. Not so much the mines, though. Definitely among the best.
It's actually a bit dumb, but Jenova messed with the psyche and phisyology of every character she was in contact with, this was a fact well regarded almost from the start, even though Jenova was kind of a mysterious being. FF8's GFs, on the other hand, are so common they are given in tests to teenagers in a military academy (even on their consoles) for years, yet we only learn critical information about them midway into the game. The twist was definitely a step down from previous entries that fleshed out their side characters in personal missions that really delved deep into their characters. I really hate it.
That being said, I still love this game to death.
@Shinox, please, stop being a Nomura fanboy. I can acknowledge he did good games, but the fact is Parasite Eve died in The 3rd Birthday and the story was conceived by him. There is no mitochondria, Aya is dead and you play as a girl trapped in a 30 year old woman's body. Did you even play the game? Do you even appreciate the original to call this travesty a good move? @Shinox, The 3rd Birthday was entirely his idea, he left it behind in favor of other projects and, as usual, left it to Tabata to finish his mess and fragmented ideas. Also as usual, the game suffered and was lackluster. Parasite Eve, unlike Final Fantasy VII, would actually benefit a lot from having a new crew coming in with a high appreciation for the source material rather than a guy that left the project, had crazy ideas for it, basically killed Aya, and etc. Please, no.

Jessica, Quint, Keith and Raymond as well as the plot of "become a terrrorist to get funding against terrorism" (and I'm not even gonna start on the Orochimaru-mind-swap-with-pris oner-from-the-island plotline from Revelations 2) is horrible. 7 is the one that should take all the glory, and Remake 2 for refining it.
They seem to have gotten it back, as they filed naming rights for Parasite Eve in Europe recently.

Sucks for this game, but shall we compare other games for a definite take? I mean, this was an exclusive to Xbox and PC for a while and has to compete with several other titles with little to no marketing going for it.

I'm a Left 4 Dead fan and I'm excited for this. There will never be a Left 4 Dead 3 and there's so much Mods can do for Left 4 Dead 2. This is familiar yet different enough to grab my interest.
