If his battery dies you will be required to replace it and go online for a PSN sync or his discs will no longer work. He will probably be onto a different console by the time this happens unless he got the system used.

Sony fanboys have liked to create this excuse since PS3 stopped supporting PS2 games. Yet the only games selling you right now on a PS5 are a remake and dlc of old games.
You say no one want's to play old games but in the same paragraph welcome remasters of old games. Yeah PS5 definitely doesn't need all those PS4 games, why doesn't Sony just remove the feature? It's a waste of resources to support PS4, no one wants these old games on their PS5!

The Legend of Dragoon and Bleach: Soul Resurrección are still in my top ten games to this day. It sucks they never produced anything with these series since their original release.
Sea of Thieves is my biggest pre-order blunder of this generation. I tried it out again about a year ago and nothing new made it feel more complete.
I played it co-op with my family and after a while it felt very repetitive. It reminded me of the free to play game Trove but with a Minecraft theme and not a bunch of people running around. It got old really fast for me just like Trove. No idea who would want to play this type of game in an arcade.
Are you joking? This is a top-down arcade mode that they let you go first-person in now. It's not going to look as good as the rest of the game when it was never meant to be played in first-person.
I love Minecraft but the Xbox One X version is terrible. Even the PS4 has a better version of the game for some reason. (I tried it on my PS4 recently.)
I thought about getting one but I feel with the lack of new games that interest me I will just stick to my One X a couple more years. The Medium is the only game that I almost upgraded for but I just beat it on my PC instead even though it ran at 20fps during split screen parts.

As long as emulators exist I have no problem with Nintendo releasing outdated hardware.
4K Switch is never happening at their current price point, the Switch can't even hit 1080p 60fps with PS3 graphics.
Well, the people running PlayStation these days had nothing to do with a lot of that legacy stuff so they probably won't see the value in it.
