I actually liked the 1st LP; wasn't the greatest but was pretty fun. I was excited for this one, thinking GOW3 epic style bosses with friends! Nope, Capcom hosed the controls, the save system, the in/out jumping and WTF is with making your allies RED and the enemies BLUE?
Oh, well. Red Dead in 5 days amigos!
Also, I have read a few of his comments and he never takes a "side". He always says his two cents then gets blasted by fanboys. He is one of the few who actually have something to say, that is intelligent, without murdering the King's language.
if you have a job, you might want to evaluate your sick days, amigo. You will burn through them quite quickly. It is that addicting.
The amount of detail in the horses alone is awesome. If the whole game is like this I am gonna crap. I love Call of Juarez and love the Clint Eastwood Westerns. Please, oh please live up to the hype. If it does, I will probably log more hours into it than I did Oblivion....and that is saying A LOT.
but I am still missing the 150 hours it took from my life already and I just know that Red Dead is gonna suck a ton of hours outta me...
This game looks great! Why would anyone NOT want a new IP to come to the PS3? That is just ignorant.
This is exactly why I want PSN to get Party Chat. I have plenty of friends that have proper chatting skills and would LOVE to just jump in a room and not even have to deal with the morons that plague the online community.
Also, so very true. Demon's Souls is the only game this gen I can think of that didn't hold your hand, rather, let you stick it out then cut it off and laughed at you.
Off topic: the comments on the story page are pretty funny. Some guy went on and on and on about some drivel then typed this: "Anyhow, I digest."
I think he meant, "I digress", and that pretty much sums up the ridiculous amount of tutorials we have now days! LMAO
Please don't include all us PS3 owners with heretics like this guy. i absolutely LOVE my PS3 but I would by a 360 in a second if I could afford it. It has good games, great online and I love the Gamerscore system. My old one bricked so I'm screwed.
Anyway, you guys enjoy this game. I really wish I could play it. Any game that brings people joy is worth putting out there, regardless of the system it is on.
Cheers
I wish i could afford a 360. Despite the reviews, Alan Wake looks killer and I always loved Gears (my 360 RROD). so, even though I love my PS3, i'm not an idiot...the 360 has good games and a lot of fun has been had on it. I wish they had a food bank for poor people that gave out refirbs or something.
You 360 owners are lucky indeed. Cheers.
Appreciate your (soon to be)service!
RPS have definitely morphed over the years but I still hold the genre dear to my heart. Demon's Souls, Oblivion, Fallout, all great games for this gen RPGs IMO.
And I concur that linear paths and pre-determined destiny's kind of ruin the whole point. ME2 did a great job using choices to really change the outcome. I would also have to classify Heavy Rain as an RPG (to me) due to the gripping choices and obvious consequences to my decisions. I laughed at the "star...
Ammo has weight in hardcore mode. Damn, that really sucks. I am such an ammo whore. I will traverse 3 levels to go pick up that clip from way back. And I reload like a crackhead sucking sausages. One shot, reload! Gets me in trouble all the time!
A nice breath of fresh air into the FPS genre. I have some buddies in the military and they always tell me stories, not of sniping, 'nades and tanks but of what they were feeling and thinking when they were en route to a fight. Remembering that their daughter turns 13 in a week, that the wife was stressed out because the car was acting up or that their son was getting into trouble at school or even worse, the woman wrote and said she has moved on and no longer wants them in their life. ...
I know the story was kind of meh, but Crysis was the first PC game I played when I finally got a gaming rig. Man, it was beautiful. I will probably pick this up for consoles, though, just to be able to sit in my recliner and play it on the 60" DLP.
Not a big fan of all the hype the devs keep saying about how its the end all be all, but if it looks BETTER than the first and it is indeed a reboot and they do the city right, this could be a blast.
Any idea...
The grappling does not get old. Once you figure out how to use it in conjunction with your parachute, you can easily zip around the map. I will say, though, that the missions can get repetitive but after setting it down for a day or so I would go back to with with enthusiasm. Good graphics and tons-o-killing.
i am an open world whore, so I am perhaps a little biased. I thought Oblivion and Fallout were top notch so that is where my perspective is coming from. Hope anyone who...
But allow Anderson Cooper to show horrid footage of grizzly murders, war, massive genocide at 6pm on the evening news? In depth coverage of Hollywood stars overdosing, committing suicide and whatnot?
I get my anger and frustration out by playing violent video games. When i had a really bad day at work and I am pissed at the ex, the world, whatever, ripping the head of Helios is what makes me feel better. Take that away and you will see ME on the evening news walking around ...
but hard like die 500 times before you figure it out. I'm no slouch, but man, if I didn't Google some help on some of those bosses I would STILL be stuck there.
To be fair. battlefield is all about the MP. Sure, the SP could have dragged out a little more but 5 hours of it is adequate since I have over 60 logged into MP right now. Speaking of which.....
Can you imagine the night time hunting? Laying by the fire and hearing a bear somewhere out in the dark? Grabbing your pistol and knife and slowly walk away from the fire, trying to ease your horse down and getting ready for.....
this game is going to be a frigging blast. Bubbles to all above just for sharing my enthusiasm for the thrill of the hunt!
EDIT: Bubbles distributed. Hope to see you all online! PSN - BeOneWithTheGun
