Nice catch on the correct version. I thought it was a PC mod, but I didn't pay attention to the hud.
You would think that they would have been finished by now.
The game is awesome and addictive. But it is the loudest in terms of DVD spinning. Microsoft has come to the rescue with NXE and game installs!
The DVD drive is loud. Fable 2 is particularly loud because it doesn't use the HDD to cache. This is good timing for NXE.
It's a valid complaint. I'm sure this will be resolved somehow.
I thought it was coming out on Nov 19? What's the point of having a "Beta" 3 weeks before launch?
The 360 has the highest attach rate (8.1 games per console). The PS3 is at 5.
The 360 sells more games per console and has more consoles.
Maybe the writer confused growth numbers with total sales numbers. The PS3 probably grew faster than the 360 in software sales since it is a newer console.
Sony showed what appeared to be a fully functional version of Home in 2006 and made all types of promises. They only made the promises because they had nothing to compete with Xbox Live. Home is late and they are still having trouble with this deadline.
It looks cool. I don't understand the complaints about it.
They have to make a AAA game on 13 year old hardware (the equivalent of PS1.)
I wish a good developer would buy it from SCi/Eidos. I'd like to see what Tomonobu Itagaki would do with it.
Reviewers really don't know anything. They're afraid that they will look stupid if they are "wrong". So, they always seek consensus. If there's a trend of a certain score, the reviewers will use that as a basis.
Most reviewers don't know how to bathe. How can we expect them to give each game a fair review? These guys review games because they don't like work. Very few reviewers take their job seriously.
But, they still manage to give you a clue about the value of a game. Although bias plays a major role in that they have blinders on for certain games.
I almost bought it. I'm glad I waited for reviews.
The article is wrong about the PS3 being more powerful. Here's a quote from the article:
"John Carmack announced the downscaling of the Xbox 360s graphics in the upcoming RAGE. As with the RAGE example, the PS3 certainly packs the potential to have better graphics than its Xbox 360 competitor"
This is not a "hardware issue". It's disk-size issue. Rage uses an infinite amount of textures (literally), so the bigger the disk, the more textures you can fit. ...
That doesn't sound very definite.
This is a legit rumor. It's been a while since we've heard anything about MGS4 on 360.
Rumors that persist tend to come true.
The reality is that sales will determine if there will be sequels.
John Schappert, VP of Xbox Live, said that it is exclusive at TGS. The SO4 site also shows it is exclusive.
That's called "washed out".
But I agree that Mirrors Edge makes a nice commercial. The game will flop.
EGM did a massive preview and I think the Editor in Chief is biased in favor of the game for some reason.
