Gears was a new IP and I'm sure pre-orders exceeded a million copies.
Seriously. This is not news. It's Sony marketing.
More copies of GTAIV were sold on 360. MS prevented Sony from using GTAIV as a system seller. MS already won that battle.
There is almost no reason to think that KZ2 will be AAA. The only hope is the time and money being spent on it. Otherwise, the talent is unproven.

You're just running the whole time. If you fall, you die in many cases. You can't climb back up and explore the environment. I think a 7 is too high. It's like Half-Life 2 without guns.

If there are no guns, then you are just running the whole time. The videos look like Half-Life 2 without guns. It's not really a game.
They're only giving it away because nobody is buying it.
1) The genres are not "different". They are both "shooters". They appeal to the same crowd.
2) Story is subjective. Gears has co-op, too.
3) Gears 2 will sell over 5 million, maybe even 8 million, like Halo 3. Therefore, more people are excited about Gears 2.

It's only fair for reviewers to consider the HDD install on 360. Lost Odyssey was heavily criticized for the long load times. If the install was an option, the criticism would have been less.
Some games use the DVD more efficiently. I think LO was an extreme case. But every game should see some improvement.
But it's nice to see improvements. It looks like I'll have to invest in a bigger HDD.
Your DVD drive won't spin anymore. Even if load times are identical, the noise and heat will be reduced significantly.
I can't say "washed out"? For some reason, PS3 games are muted when compared to 360. It appears that the 360 can represent colors more accurately. So, if the developer wanted muted colors, on the 360 or PS3, he could achieve that. If he wanted vivid colors, he couldn't achieve that as well on PS3.
Game store clerks were openly biased against Xbox 1. They wanted Xbox 1 to fail because they all were PS2 gamers.
