Is there a picture of Bill Gates advertising for Kotaku on the Kotaku site?
In case you didn't read the article. Famitsu has a full page ad with the President of Famitsu playing MGS. Coincidentally, that game gets a perfect 40/40.
Sony dropped the ball many times. Their marketing strategy is to lie to the public. You can't trust anything that Sony says. There is not a single date in their history that they have promised and fulfilled.
Microsoft, on the other hand, says a date, and meets or exceeds that date.
The media has defended Sony too often. They just smile and nod when Sony gives a release date.
Besides all that, the best games have been on Xbox for the past two generations....
How can you prove collusion unless someone admits it? Short of admitting it, it looks really bad when the president of a magazine company is selling a product that the magazine reviews. If it was a judge, he would have to recuse himself.
This is the web. Just give me the highlights. Anything more than 1 minute, I don't care.
Seriously, in the demo, a topless fat man with manboobs and a gay lisp sends you on a mission. You are a 40s style rocketeer that flys around shooting 40s style space-ships.
It is awful in every way.
I hope there's a good reason for 540p. It's a tough call between great special effects vs framerate/resolution. The frustrating part is that powerful hardware doesn't translate into solid framerates/resolutions.
Framerates and resolutions are fundamental requirements for the eye. Blurry and choppy images ruin the experience.
I can't believe that the media and Sony fans are so utterly blind to Kojima's blatant gay innuendo.
I'm not going to watch 22 minutes of chit-chat for 1 minute of info.
The COG are elite hulks. A female COG member is not realistic.
...Microsoft Points are not dollars. It is a violation of standard weights and measures as mandated by the US Constitution. If you ask Microsoft how much an XBLA game costs, the answer must be in dollars.
Compare the games he has made to other japanese developers. Itagaki's games take full advantage of 3D which is typically american.
The reason NG is the best action game in history is that you don't have fixed cameras or QTEs. God of War, DMC, and Bayonetta are all guilty of those sins.
He mentioned piloting in a WWII setting. But, he's never confirmed anything.
NG is the best action game I've ever played. Itagaki also innovated with DLC for NG in ways nobody has matched.
It may help sell consoles in that the games have nostalgic value. But, when someone buys a console to play those games, they will realize that they were not as good as they remember. Then, they may be encouraged to buy newer games?
Space Taxi, Lode Runner, One on One (Magic Johnson vs Larry Bird), Freaky Freddie, Karateka, and Archon (by Electronic Arts).
There's an enemy that looks like the spider from Gears. I would bet that there's more than just a cameo of Marcus and Dom.
The article said that a 5 out of 10 "should be" average. But, it shouldn't because everyone has been trained by our grading system in school. 50 out of 100 is an F. 70 out of 100 is a C- which is average. Any reviewer that claims his 5 out of 10 is average is fooling himself.
"There's the iPhone, WiiWare, stuff like that, which allow young game designers to try out new things. So I think there's potential for a new type of games designer in the future."
That's the attitude which is hurting japanese developers.
The next time you witness Bill Gates buying off Kotaku "behind closed doors", take a picture.
