Considering Sony had 65%+ market share in the home console market for the 10 years before the ps3 and now have well under 30% I wouldn't call it a remarkable recovery. Its good that Sony was able to save the PS3 from becoming an embarrassing disaster but they have no where near the market and mind share they once had.
You're just kidding yourself if you thinks there's a difference between the beta drivers and the whql ones. Nvidia just doesn't make them all whql because they don't want to pay MS every month or 2. And if you think MS actually bothers testing stuff they stamp whql on is just as foolish. Remember driver 196.75 that was reportedly burning up video cards? Yeah that was a whql release.

I'd wait until a price drop unless you have nothing else to play. I loved the original on PC. But the dumbing down of the combat, dialog and uninspired story is currently leaving me really disappointed. I'm only about 3 hours in but that's part of the problem. I'm finding it hard to continue playing because it feels so bland.

Its kind of obvious crossfire and sli are broken. As they got similar or even better results with a single 6850 or gtx 460 then they did with 2 of them.

Will people like you ever stop spread the BS that you need a $2k pc to run games at a high image quality? I can build a pc for under $1000 US with 24" monitor and a HD 6950 that would run this game maxed or very close in 1080p.

Yep, so call "critics" get their games for free and try to burn through them for various reasons as fast as possible. Which is why they might not care that DA 2 is dumbbed down or "simplified" and shorter. However, people who actually pay for the game are going to be much more critical and will want more content for their money.
Although I think the Wii is a piece of turd its hard to call it an "also ran" when it is pretty much destined to finish first this gen. Doesn't it have like a 35 million lead or something?
Warhead only retailed for $30 new. For that price I think the game was plenty long.

A gtx 560 is actually a bit slower then a 5870 and a gtx 570 is roughly 10% faster. Neither card is going to give you a very big jump in performance. I would hang tight til the next gen of cards.
Apparently Bioware didn't include native support for a pad which was part of the complaint.
