All retailers are middle men. I guess you should just go live in the woods.

Its often easy to find games for $10 off or $10 credit with purchase(Perfect example is Last of US at Amazon giving $10 credit). So more like 2 games.

Rich guy telling people to deal with it. How original. And yes Gears of War made him quite wealthy.

How does buying netflix fix anything? If anything netflix has their own problems which include about 3 billion plus of debt in contract obligations for content. Their dvd business is evaporating and they make squat on their stream business.

Jeez, some of you people need to learn how to comparison shop, use cashback sites and deal sites. $2k for a 4 core desktop that doesn't sport 2 or 3 video cards is ludicrous.

This is the same thing the talking heads at Epic always do. After the game has been released for a while and no longer generates much revenue they start talking the game down and add what they should of done. Of course its all just marketing to set you up for the sequel. If they really gave a crap they would have released the game they wanted, not what they "should have had" or should have done.

They probably did it to save $. As we have seen with the Wii. Nintendo's not above gimping their hardware to save a few bucks here and there. But to release this monstrosity less then a year after launch really shows poor planning on their part. They should of learned from all the crap that Sony took for the missing stick on the psp.

The book is made out of cardboard and paper. The statue is made out of plastic. They will churn out tons of these to anyone gullible enough to pay $150, then $130, then $100, then $80 and eventually $60. Because it only costs them a few dollars to produce. There's a reason its called Collector's edition and not LIMITED EDITION.

@jony_dols Yeah they survived through the n64 and gamecube because of the gameboy color and gameboy advance. It will be very hard for Nintendo if at least one of their systems (home or handheld) doesn't do well during a 4 or 5 year stretch. Unlike Sony and MS they really don't make or produce anything else besides games and consoles. I'm not counting Nintendo out but I'm pretty sure they are going to have some rough times ahead.

Yeah the guy who wrote this article doesn't know sh!t. No one should be buying a i5 6xx processor for $200+. The only thing they have over the i3 5xx processors is turbo mode which is useless if you have an IQ over 80 and can change the bclk in bios. Not to mention you can get a sandybridge i3 2100 for $100 or a quadcore i5 2500k for around $200. But yeah a cheap amd quad core would also be fine so put more money into the gpu.

I'm personally using a i3 540 clocke...

What is up with nerds always wanting games to "break" their hardware? It should be how it looks and plays. Not that only 5% of people can play it so they think their special.

People who buy an ipad don't care about silly things like processing power, usb ports or card readers. Its a fashion accessory biatch.

Some of the bullshit you guys come up with is classic. Sony never advertising free online gaming for life when you buy a PS3. They could shut psn down for good and there isn't a thing anyone could do about it. Just like Sega shut down the online for Dreamcast. Was anyone able to sue Sega for money? lol

How does anything you said refute my claim that it was a rush job? And no I haven't finished the game. I'm about 10 hours in after owning it a month. And its not because I'm too busy to play. Its because its frickin' boring. Wandering around a plain looking stone city running errands to earn money is not fun. I shouldn't have to play a game 20+ hours before it becomes the least bit interesting. That in itself is a failure on their part.

5528d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Pretty much. They need spend 2 or 3 years to create a real sequel instead of spitting out a rush job as a cash grab.

Lightning would have to strike twice for Nintendo to dominate the next generation as well. I admit the popularity of motion controls caught most people off guard and they did a great job selling it. Then they were able to extend the Wii's popularity for an extra year plus with Wiifit. But can they delivery a one-two gimmick punch again? It going to be pretty hard for them to repeat that. But then it would be foolish for Microsoft and Sony not to have a console ready in the hanger in ...

I want to know how this shit was even approved. The "news" was stolen from kotaku and then poorly rewritten and posted on a blog by someone I pray is under the age of 15.

You can't make that kind of judgement without understanding the Japanese language. I mean what if Obama said "Yo hommies hang tight! we rolling up on this mess asap!" during the BP oil spill. It probably wouldn't have been well received by people in the gulf. Nothing really negative there. But not really appropriate is it?
