"combat system" of Final Fantasy XIII was really good, primarily when fighting difficult opponents which were lacking in the main story. so I understand why people say it sucks but truth be told it doesn't.
when you peel off to complete Cie'th stone (side) missions where there are many more harder opponents the battle system makes the game super fun. you really get to understand why they chose to do certain things (like only controlling one character, parad...
I don't think it's fair that this is limited to just PS+
on PS4 this will have to be a standard feature on all consoles from launch day, no excuses, so why just limit it to a few select people? might as well open it up to everyone.
Modern Warfare 3.
that was a 6.7/10 at best it was so. people usually exaggerate about the quality of CoD games but this one was properly bad, like I couldn't believe that Infinity Ward would sell us game that could've been added on as DLC, no need for a full disc. ludicrous that it got higher scores than Battlefield 3.
my point was that, as much as you say
"Real gamers would would decided whether to buy a game or not before the cover art is even created. They make their decisions based on the information they've read and/or the demos they've seen/played between the time the game is announced to the time the game hits store shelves"
fact is that many people still use this method for picking games. it has nothing to do with people being fickle, it has nothi...
what do you mean what am I talking about? you wrote something and I disagreed and gave my reason for disagreeing.
and how am I a spoilt brat? because I disagreed with your opinion? check yourself bro.
fact is many people still make decisions based off box art, much like people make decisions about a movie at a rental store based on box art, much like how an employer will make a judgement on a potential employee solely based on their dress code. it's advertising.
there's nothing fickle about it, you're just an old irritable man who needs to calm down and not overexaggerate such a simple issue.
well Capcom, what this trailer did is remind me that I still have to buy El Shaddai. this level reminds me so so much of the demo I played for El Shaddai.
have you seen the amount of advertising Microsoft is pushing for Windows 8 / Surface / Windows Phone (Lumia)? it's no wonder Microsoft is up there. anything less would be a failure. I can't imagine the massive advertising strategy they have in place for the Xbox 720 it's going to be unreal. Sony better be wary and not pull off their "we're too premium for mass-market advertising" bullshit.
well in South Africa prices range from R599-R699 per game, depending on the game, depending on the retailer which works out to be about €59-€69 which is also what western European countries pay (most of the time it's €69 to be honest) so don't see what the fuss is over an extra R50/€5.
wow they shut down 2K12 servers already???
at least EA gives people 2-3 years to play online, wow. nobody can complain about EA now
and to be fair to EA they shut servers down based on what percentage of people still play online. I remember them saying that they shut servers down which make up less than 1% of traffic across all EA servers, at least that's what they say.
I too disagree with Mika, but what you're actually trying to say is that people who decide on a game to buy solely based on box art don't exist anymore? all people just read previews and reviews for the games they want?
I think I just didn't understand your comment but if that's what you meant then boy you have to wake up from that beautiful dream and have a nice good wiff of some strong coffee...
LOL!
@floetry101
you got it spot on.
I think what Yerli was trying to say was that Crysis 3 may not be better looking on a graphical standpoint, that's absolutely subjective but from a raw technical capability standpoint, the amount of advanced tech used for Crysis 3 on consoles surpasses anything seen on console.
Crysis 2 on PS2 definitely had it's moments, but fell far short because of performance issues like you said due to CryEngine 3...
Crysis 2 definitely had the potential to blow every console game out of the water graphically, but they rushed it out and didn't polish it at all. it played like something you'd probably get if you played the version after alpha but before beta, this being the PS3 version.
the last 2-3 minutes of Crysis 2 where Alcatraz enters the Ceph ship and crawls through that red stuff inside the ship is the most impressive 2-3 minutes of gameplay I've see on any console game...
the Mass Effect 3 cover had me in tears!
because Reggie promised us. he was so confident, with that video of all those devs openly supporting the Wii U and promising 3rd party support (funny enough Ken Levine was in that video) and the rest of the E3 2011 presentation..
they had me believing as well I was really excited after the reveal but oh well :/
do you honestly think Nintendo cares?
a lot of people harshly bag on Square Enix I think
it's widely accepted that all Final Fantasy games from the original right through to XII have all been great.
then came XIII, which I though was nowhere near as bad is people made it out to be but nevertheless was received poorly along with the release of XIV. so they make two "bad" games and now they're one of the worst devs/publishers right now? of course they did things like hold off Versus XIII ...
lol Yoshi mmmkay
I still think think the numbers are wrong.
PS3 and 360 were basically level, with the 360 outselling the PS3 by only a few hundreds of thousands in the US during Black Friday week (and the week after).
while this was happening PS3 was outselling 360 everywhere else, so I think these websites should wait for end of February reports, they're in for a surprise.
VGchartz was out by 2 million when Sony announced they hit 70 million, so all these figur...
