I'd like to think Crytek sorted all the performance issues out for Crysis 3 because on a purely graphical standpoint, Crysis 2 blew Battlefield 3 out of the water (console). performance was where Crysis 2 fell short and so on overall Battlefield 3 looked better

I have to agree with this.
Sony had the easiest job in the world replacing the PS2. they had the entire gaming population feeding from their bare hands; they ruled the gaming world.
all the PS3 needed to be was a graphically capable machine with above par multimedia features. what we got instead was an overengineered piece of tech that sold for $599, effectively pricing the ENTIRE market out.
I honestly think that Sony had enough brand loyalt...
you're right some of the points made in the review were really dumb. and it did sound like he had trouble with the game's difficulty
but you have to admitt some points (if true) are really major things. points like the weak steering, the lack in difference of performance between different surfaces/conditions, a shallow Career Mode are big things
it sounds like a 7.0 game to me. I'll wait for a few reviews and see what's what
