isn't Titanfall supposed to be a single-player/multiplayer hybrid like Destiny? I'm pretty sure they won't flat out sell you an MP game for full price, it's much more than that.
just hope that when Titanfall comes to PS4 they don't screw us over with a full price tag for an old game! also that cover art is beautiful
@zee
yup you're spot on. Microsft listened to the Excel spreadsheet with projected sales over the next 12-18 months
had Xbox One pre-orders been close with PS4 pre-orders it would still have all the original features like DRM, no indie self-publishing, family share etc.
all PS4 is missing is an in-house RPG (preferably from Sony Santa Monica) and a Mistwalker game. Sakaguchi & Uematsu's return to PlayStation is only inevitable now with the poplularity and ease-of-development of PS4
good article.
a person who is locked out of multiplayer is a lost customer who could've spent more money on microtransactions/in game add ons than on the online pass itself. makes sense.
really good article
I don't see where this "PS4 will make people buy a Vita" argument comes from. you're asking people to shell another $250 just for remote play? is that a realistic expectation of the ordinary customer?
not happening.
Vita sales will pick up, it's a device that's far too good to fail but the reason for this comeback won't be this "$250 PS4 peripheral" excuse
they weren't competing with next-gen consoles anyway.
Sony said it best: Wii U is in it's own generation
I'll be your friend :)
the effects of JLG on Xbox One will not be felt until maybe a year into her tenure.
this is still the work of Mattrick, Mehdi and all other people of the original team. it was obviously part of the plan from the beginning, since Xbox One is "supercharged" by the cloud.
the 7GB rumour was also a rumour.
I don't even think Sony fully know how much RAM they will set aside for games. Cerny hasn't adressed it once during any of his keynotes.
hopefully we'll find out at Gamescom.
Sony have never confirmed that the PS4 would ship with 7GB dedicated to games, so there would be nothing to change if it indeed reserves only 4.5GB for games.
there was only one rumour that claimed the 7GB spec and everybody ran with it.
I think, fanboy or not, we should all be skepitcal of Microsoft when they make promises, it's the absolute least they deserve after their post-Kinect attitude towards the hardcore and what they initially tried to pull with the Xbox One.
self-publishing, Xbox One as a dev kit, no-DRM, TV, Games with Live etc. all those features sound great but I can almost guarantee you that there's a boat load of fine print behing every single one of them.
I don'...
this has to be the best comment I've ever seen on N4G omg
"go to bing"
"BING"
Microsft fanboyism at it's finest right there kudos to you my man!
don't give Microsoft any ideas.
@rajman
dude so are you only going to use the PS4's recoder for walkthroughs? I'd imagine you have top notch recording equipment already
@midnight
the Share button will almost exclusively be used for multiplayer on FPS games
just imagine all the shared videos of a dude killing a Titan on Titanfall while running on walls (yes, Titanfall will come to PS4 eventually)
so there's no need to worry.
and on top of that mics are being bundled with every console and the PS4 is cheaper. also it looks like PS4 will be the more "it" product so expect many more racist, homophobic teens on PSN :(
of course, a contract was signed between both parties and it must be honoured
the day the contract runs out is the day your question becomes more relevant. I think Microsoft won't renegotiate the contract because CoD is dying, especially on next-gen consoles
@nuke
you're a pathetic troll.
Sony (in fact you can throw Apple, Samsung & Google into the equation) don't push their engineers to work on Kinect 2 level technology because they feel it's not worth it; it's a gimmick and nothing more.
the moment Kinect 2 starts making Microsoft a very handsome profit on a yearly basis expect the above mentioned companies to release their own, most likely better versions of Kinect.
the difference between locked-30fps and locked-60fps is difficult to notice, but still noticable
the difference between a "dynamic" 30fps (a-la Crysis 2 & Battlefield 3 on PS3) and a locked-60fps (CoD) is night and day.
that's my opinion on the issue. the KZSF reveal gameplay runs at 30fps and you could confuse it with 60fps
dude, the graphics of the singleplayer looked like ass, the multiplayer is only going to look WORSE
wake up and smell the coffee bro!
