Xbox gamers kept claiming PS4 is only PS3.5 and was only a dedicated gaming machine with no entertainment.
PS4 and Xbox One will have parity on the entertainment side excpet for HDMI in.

I was happy with this, then heard that Borderlands 2 is also coming to Vita! wow I definitely have to get one after I save up for my PS4!

I really like the UI though, it looks clean and purposeful; just does the job it needs to do. that's all you need in a UI

I'm not sure, "launch plans" include launch dates, territories, bundles and so forth. what other "launch plans" have they left to tell us apart from the release date?
but I do see Sony waiting til TGS in September to give the launch date as one last publicity push, or rather, to ignite the marketing surrounding the release of the console.
you are right, we as the hardcore are in the minority however you need to understand that Xbox One was universally panned.
the casuals & hardcore raged, tech blogs across the intenet raged (to the point where many major gadget magazines hailed the PS4 is the winner of next gen), major news outlets expressed concern at the Xbox One (and ulitmately at Microsoft with Surface also failing).
