Too bad sqaure enix fell off of that list.
This is why I have a difficult time getting into some of the 8 bit RPGs. I think it's important for the character to have a past. I don't even like naming my characters.
It's been a while, but I think in FFIII (for DS) as you play the game new job class open up that are better than the ones that you could choose right off. As soon as you change jobs though you loose a lot of experience you put into your original character's job class. As far as I remember this made it difficult to make the change.
I really like this guy's list. I think he hit pretty much all of the stuff that frustrates me as well.
Hahaha, don't freak dude, but you might have some dust in your attic, too. Hope you sleep well tonight.
Same here, I'm about 25 hours into Okami (beat Orochi), and I picked up Odin Spear a while back. Odin Spear looks great, just like the Sega CD or Saturn game that this game was after.
Disgaea is tactics style isn't it, not really my style.
How do people on here call them selves gamers when they STILL don't understand that each final fantasy is a completely different game with different characters and different world settings. This is mentioned everytime this is brought up (10's, maybe hundreds of times by now). Get a clue, it's just the name being re-used. Even in terms of RPG game play, it has changed quite a bit between each game, but I guess you'd have to play more than one to understand.
The whole series has been like that since it went 3D. Everytime you get going super fast pop-ins and low frame rates. Dev's don't seem to understand that consistant frame rates are a very high priority in properly releasing a game.
I've never played the game on a PC though, maybe with a high end machine the frame rate problem is something you don't have to worry about.
Sad, but true..
Nice work!
LOL
Date twanswayshion whas whost en bawd engwish!
Perhaps you meant, won't need your PC anymore to read news. The PS3 is far from being able to replace a PC in many many other respects though.
I vote John Carmack
Fall 2012, but it will be delayed to Spring 2015
Wow! Does that leave time for other games to be played?
No need to mention every single movie being released.
I get frustrated and quit on sucky games, too.
Dirge was a good game, just not what hard core RPG players wanted. I would still suggest people play it. The FMW cut scenes are amazing, and the story wasn't half bad. It wasn't FF stand alone RPG quality, but I don't think it was meant to be that.
Agreed. Issun is a horny bastard that makes the story pretty funny.
There's this thing called disk spanning, have you heard of it? Can you imagine the days when a game came out on more than one disk. I know, I know. It was terrible right?
I wouldn't ignore the possibility of game going multi platform just because it's larger than ~8gigs.
