I'm betting that if a dev studio was bold enough to take a full on 3D game only 480p they could move it more into line with what you're talking about now. I'd be really interested to see something more realistic at a lower res. Cell shading is popular, so I don't see why this wouldn't artistically turn out rewarding too.
You'll likely be going back and forth a bit between previous discs. You can revisit areas in the game, but who knows how this will work exactly. Actually I think in FF IX I didn't put in a previous disc after moving forward, but you never know.
You know how in GTA you'd stay on the first island for a while, then the second would open up, then you'd stay on there for a while before the 3rd, but at some point you'd go back and forth between them all, that's kind of the way FF is laid out....
Tools of destruction was my first, which I completed just a month ago, I picked up the chapter game quest for booty which I devoured in a couple hours (the lvl in the dark cave was pretty cool).
Now I'm going back to the PS2 titles, which amazingly play very similarly to the PS3 ones. I currently have 18 hours of game play into Going Commando (5 more than tools of destruction). The level layouts are great. There are enough difference in each of the weapons that you want them all....
Now we get all teh stupids on PSN that don't understand the reasons behind the modded boxes getting banned.
An example would be nice to hear.
I'm agreeing with you. The lighting, art work, modeling are all sub par with even the mediocre Wii platformers out there. Hopefully they hire in some new artists and do something with the game engine to make the lighting better, or else it will be named Epic Fail Mickey.
TheGameLlama you fail, it's a joke.
o_O
I don't get where this comment came from. Maybe PSPGo lack of UMD? Umm, well, then buy a PSP3000, you have options.
Did the person that disagreed with this try it themselves? Try running your linux distro with X and launch up firefox, gimp, and a chat program, now try to use any of those now. Most likely you'll have to wait a minute for the drive to stop swapping memory.
I did, for me it seemed like it ran slow. Can I have my 10gigs back now?
Makes for programmers with more time on their hands.
This was painfully annoying
I do agree, the DS has far more quality games.
I hope english isn't your first language.
I have a gaming PC, but it constantly needs attention to keep running smoothly. Share a few files, browse a few web pages and you have a virus infested gaming rig that needs to be re-imaged to get the performance you had on day one of OS install.
I'd say it's solid for 3 months, but then needs some kind of attention that is taking away from my gaming time. Much like a car's required maintenance. I really like just popping a disc in and playing. My PS3's performance hasn't degraded since...
You're thinking of the higher level scripting languages used by the engine (something like Linden). They're talking about sharing the engine + everything else that makes up the game.
Get over your high horse, people are just trying to be helpful by passing on knowledge.
Sounds much like a GM LS engine.
Dreamcast ran a custom MS WindowsCE operating system. So, it's very easy to see what happens when the two work together.
Get out from under your rock.
Link to what you're talking about pls.
