I don't agree with having all of these subscription services being added to yet another subscription service.
Pay to pay to watch movies? Come on.
I think it would be MUCH smarter to lure people in by saying that you can have Hulu, Twitter, Netflix, Facebook and more by just buying an Xbox without paying for Live and once they grabbed the people, persuade them to get Live to play online with friends and access more features.
Their scheme ...
Actually, the sales of the PS3 have not been shaken at all by the new 360. It still sold what it normally sells every week. The only thing that changed was the sales of the new 360. It increased, but didn't bring down the PS3 sales.
Real World: PlayStation Nation
Jersey Shore with Nathan Drake
The Hangover 2: Where's My PSP?
I can definitely see the PS3 being the most likely to advance without having to pack add-ons on top of it. In five or ten years, I can see it looking the same on the outside.
On the 360, 5 years with one and you can have a WiFi Adapter, Vision Cam, battery packs, plug n play charge kits and cables, HDDVD player, Kinect and memory cards laying around. That's supposed to be the halfway point.
I mean, I'm not trying to be mean, but 10 years with a PS2 an...
I believe XBL and Qore do the same thing. Maybe they think it's OK based on that...
It's not.
Those are five terrible reasons.
I wonder what the game is gonna be like.
That's badass! If it's convenient enough, maybe I'll start using it again.
EDIT: Hulu Plus? The charm of the site was it's free content.
I wonder when they'll reveal how many subscribers they've gotten. Gamescom? TGS?
I'm a bunch of people buy Plus from Yahoo and Facebook. Don't know when they'll reach 1mil, but it would be neat to see.
Ever wonder what it would be like *doom-doom-doom* to talk to a 10 year old boy?
"Hey, kid! What's your name?"
"Oh, hi! My name is Milo... Wanna play?"
*doom-doom*
Coming this Fall. Be his friend. Talk to him. Play with virtual water in the hot new video game where you spend hours talking to a boy about nothing.
*swoosh doom-doom action music doom-doom-doom*
Milo. Wanna play? ...
You're telling me?
IGN's rating system seems like it's based on how the editor feels that day.
"I'm in a great mood, I'm gonna speak positively about this game despite it's flaws."
OR
"I'm in a terrible mood. Time to point out most of the flaws in a game."
*thanks mdee :D*
It's these reasons that I take reviews with a grain of salt. I liked...
If you're a game, and you're getting negative articles based on positive feedback, you're doing something right.
On a serious note, I don't think it's overrated, just popular. Most reviews were fair. They talked about the flaws and praised what it did right, which they did almost perfectly (and the best anyone has done so far). Graphically, I still think it's unmatched (God of War and Mass Effect were pretty, but U2 has a distinct look). When it comes to ...
You're nothing special.
Warhawk is getting a 5 from me! Still one of the best online games I've ever played. So much fun!
Maybe in the future, they'll let us right reviews for the content and rate/review PSN users, too.
It's already giving me an error. Too many people flocking? The update just came out, like, 30 minutes ago and they already have close to 90 fans for the app.
I bet it was just a "target" tech demo that was used to try to get people excited.
(WARNING: NOT TRYING TO BASH) At least with Sony, they ended up releasing every popular tech demo they had as a game. I actually like tech demos. We wouldn't have Heavy Rain without it!
Milo would have been creepy and unappealing. I'm sure it got the buzz they wanted, but they probably didn't expect it to be popular enough to have them actually wanting more....
Now THAT'S a bargain. I think it would be pretty damn easy for Sony to advertise this:
"Buy Plus, get 4 free games a month, every month."
Simple. You don't even have to tell them what the games are. They'll just be like "WHAT?! Cool!". Or they can say:
"Buy Plus and get $80 worth of free content every month."
Except for automatic downloads?
I still say that the little Trophy Star symbol should change with every 5 or 10 levels up or something. It sounds impossible because there's never a cap but it would be neat!
I'm not complaining. I'm wondering as to why they would hurt themselves like this.
Whenever people on this website see a long comment, they think it's a bitchy rant. It's not. I started off saying "I don't agree" for god's sake. I didn't say it sucks or it's stupid. It's not the smartest idea, so I gave my opinion and advice. Take it as that.
Let me know if I should elaborate further for you.
