1. I saw NO Heavy Rain commercials whatsoever. I live in the US and there were no Heavy Rain or Alan Wake commercials on TV.

2. Alan Wake's marketing looked to be all internet-based. I saw it EVERYWHERE. YouTube, this site, every gaming site and MySpace. I could not visit a website without seeing an ad for it at least once.

3. The Kin shows you that even super-heavy marketing doesn't mean it can succeed. Splinter Cell had a bunch of commercials and it...

I expect it might sell a little more than GT4 because of NASCAR, but I'm not sure about GT3 (15mil) because it was bundled with PS2s back in the day.

Still, the Prologues sell a ton, too. GT5:P still sold like the other one on PS2 (actually, I think it sold a little more) with a much smaller install base.

Yeah, that's exactly why the Kin was such a success.

Hmm... this was said before. By Rare, Microsoft and a few other journalists before. This was before E3 and the laggy Jimmy Fallon demo.

I figured that latest build would've been available for MS themselves for the press conference. But hey, who knows? Whether it's laggy now or not doesn't represent the final product. Lag wasn't the only problem. Let's see how things pan out.

PS: Some games are less laggy than others.

Says the guy who somehow fits a Sony product into almost every one of his posts? Should I assume you're just extremely interested in buying all the Sony products you bash?

It makes me wonder if Microsoft is going to bother publishing a sequel. Maybe it'll go multiplatform if they don't. Because if it does, the sequel will get a much better shot at becoming a success.

It's a shame it didn't do much because I thought the idea of light as a weapon like that was very clever.

PSOne: GTA set in LC, VC and San Andreas
PS2: Spread them out

I can see them spreading it out again.

It would make sense considering we just came from Liberty City, but I really really really want some next-gen San Andreas.

I'm telling you guys right now, I will not be leaving my house if they make that until I finish the game.

It's true, you don't need that....

but for $12 more, you do get that. All built in, too.

EDIT: Ooops, sorry guys. According to the disagree, it doesn't come with all that for $12 more. My mistake /s

If only it were Master Chief at that spot....

?

You don't deserve the Austin Powers avatar. He wouldn't say that. He'd say something sexual instead.

How long do you think RDR will stay at that price? I haven't picked it up yet.

I thought that, too, but they were talking about how the dirt was whisked away. It looks as if the was blown away.

If it is signs of wind.... I learn something new about this game everyday =)

I would've figured Monster Hunter would still be up there.

5825d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

True that, homeskillet. Still, I think it would depend on what games we get, though.

EU got LittleBigPlanet..... unless we get free inFamous, they won. And we probably won't be getting free inFamous.

5825d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I never even knew they made more than one game.

Grand Theft Auto 5 and a Kinect shooter from Infinity Ward tell me this is the most fake thing I've ever seen since the Kinect event.

EDIT: LMFAO. Really, people? Is this even a question? I just noticed Guitar Hero: Air Guitar... lmao.

PS3 Fatboy looked INSANE. Good curve, touch-sensitivity, nice little flip-up panel for cards. It was a true beast.

You forgot Socom 4.

But both of them are releasing big titles, so I don't think they need a pile of good exclusives. Just spread them out, give us some great ones and release your Move and Kinect.

They're still there. It's just a lot less than when they started.

To me, 2007 was THE year for the 360. They had all the exclusives, PSN was nothing but an internet connection for games and it was still selling despite the 2007 "Summer of RROD". Not to forget, Halo.

They shared 2008 with the PS3 when the PS3 had their games like LBP, MGS4, Resistance 2, Pacific Rift, etc., but that was the year that the exclusive games started getting shared...
