Unfortunately for MS, there's really nothing else on the XBO they could cut without taking huge losses a la Sony pre 2009.
It's impossible to cut anything on the XBO without pissing someone off.

Wow, I wasn't really expecting him to return given how Nintendo selects their Pokemon for each game, but I figured he had a good shot because he was the Pokemon the game used to demonstrate mega evolution. I hope he gets some of his moves re-done, he was one of the most fun characters to play, especially for pissing off your opponents with that counter move.

Meh, the benefits of internal memory are negligible, considering the memory is useless after you get a memory card and it's not going to be good as a standalone unless you go all physical, which isn't going to happen with PS+.

I know that NBA Live has been terrible, and any other year, I would have told them to stop making these.
However, NBA2K is getting dictatorial with the 2K series. They've added the stupid VC, and made it a requirement to do just about everything in the game. It's ridiculous. The game is essentially online only.
I hope Live can get more competitive with 2K to actually make them work to please the gamer more.
Why would they do that? Not only would they piss off retailers immensely, what are the benefits?
It seems like Microsoft's original vision just with slightly reduced DRM and none of the benefits, other than a one-time cheaper cost.
