It's a tough situation for Microsoft. To lower the price of the Xbox, someone has to give either way.
Just straight drop the price $100, and take big losses on each Xbox sold.
Drop the Kinect, and piss off developers as well as be forced to admit that the $1 billion invested in Kinect was a waste.
Cut the Blu-ray drive, and piss off retailers like Gamestop, and also be forced to deal with fears of DRM again.
Either way, t...
On December 31st :D
Omg wow, 4 Halo sequels in one year :P
I kid, I kid
I just like the feel of my discs when I hold them...
Titanfall is releasing WW in March. I don't even think the XBO will be out there in that time frame.
Besides, a lot of gamers in Asia are big on PC, anyway. Just because giant robots doesn't mean Japan will love it automatically.
Creative success is how Sony eventually came back last gen. They took risks on new IPs and projects that were a little out there.
That's why we get games like Tearaway, Journey, The Last of Us, etc.
There's nothing wrong with pumping out a new Gears/Halo/Forza every year, but it has to get stale eventually.
@Infected
I think that's one of the reasons Respawn went with EA, because they wanted to maintain control of their own IP.
I don't know if they'll stick with EA for the next iteration of Tfall, Zampella seemed pretty upset with the exclusivity twist when it came out.
We can always hold out hope, but a game that looks this good, they should take as much time as they need.
Boy, have I got the product for you.

Awww, You don't like:
Driveclub
Uncharted 4
The Order: 1886
Infamous: Second Son
Rime
Shadow of the Beast
MLB 14: The Show
N++
Any of them? That makes me sad :( but to each his own, I guess.
So he's saying games like:
Halo
The Last of Us
Uncharted
Saints Row
Call of Duty
Gears of War
Ratchet and Clank
Jak & Daxter
Killzone
Battlefield
God of War
Fable
Sly Cooper
Are all killing the industry? Yeah, Ok. In my opinion, there's no problem with having sequels and extending beyond trilogies as long as they're well done in the mold of the orig...
Eh, it's a fair list.
A little surprised with the additions of Metro: LL and Fire Emblem, but I haven't played them yet, so I can't talk.
How does everybody get 4-6 hours at a time to game? I feel so inadequate T_T
One game does not a generation make.
@NYR
I know what I'm missing out on. It's all just opinion.
@Pope
Ponies, really? I know the XBO is a good system, but there's no need to go all keyboard warrior on everyone who criticizes it.
Before people start posting:
This price increase is likely because of high taxes and the unstable Rand (South African currency).
Blame your government, not Sony.
Devs usually don't lie, they just hide the truth, much like the Aliens: Colonial Marines debacle.
Come on everybody, let's go again.

But still, that's not surprising. Bluepoint is the best in the business at ports. I wonder how this will affect XBO sales, considering you don't need one to play the game. Will people ditch their 360s for a slightly improved version? Time will tell.
Wireless headset compatibility, nice.
Those Pulse headsets look amazing. But alas, I'm a notorious cheapskate :(
You know he'll eventually have to buy another one, right?
