Give me an xmen legends remake, then you can have all of the monies. Or in general, let's have remakes and remasters that are actually worthy of such.

Should I point out that, contrary to what the headline suggests, you don't play as a jedi in star wars outlaws.

You just answered your own question.

It's just obvious from playing that the game needed more time to refine all of its systems. They all work only just okay ; animation transitions are janky af, button map is overly complicated (it needn't be a multi-step process to throw a granade). But most the aggregious mistake was to center the game around and bland character and a nebulous story. Allowing the player to create his own "outlaw " and build him/her towards the player's own preferred style to be either m...

Studios close even if they have a success. Crazy industry.

ND didn't start a GAAS and halfway through development only then realize how much of the studios resources it would take. This is all on Jim Ryan and his disastrous tenure as CEO. Thankfully, some cooler heads at Sony knew that dedicating a studio, whose reputation was built on single player experiences with world-class narratives, to GAAS was a mistake. They righted the ship and Jim Ryan was ousted before he could do anymore of the considerable damage he'd already inflicted.

Nothing wrong with the PSVR 2 in itself, but it was priced out of relevancy costing more than the PS5. The price has gone down now that Sony has abandoned the device after a year. That's bad business and it's devastating to consumer trust.

Namely, Jim Ryan's head rolled by pivoting Sony hard onto the GAAS train wreck. Every decision he made was catastrophically stupid: PSVR 2, 12 GAAS in the pipeline, buying Bungie, forcing Insomniac to change Peter Parker to look more like Tom Holland (and also somehow younger than Miles Morales), Playstation Portal, etc. In his short time he put Sony back financially at least a decade. This is what you get when you promote the clowns from marketing to high profile positions. Steve Jobs e...

Interesting...this way they can charge full price for last gen consoles rather than offer a free PS5 upgrade or charge a minor fee. Or are they offering the ps4 version/cross gen version if you already own a copy on current gen?

This is likely due to digital discount sales on older games, which often has much better deals then physical. I'd like to see how the stats would compare regarding new game sales.

Callisto Protocol is an extremely underrated game (after the updates). Krafton, however, made a mistake by looking to overmonetize a single player game by cutting out content and selling it as dlc. Paying for extra death animations was scummy. And you can't get away with that crap with a new IP. Save it the sequel or, better yet, don't do it at all. Survival horror is a crowded market.

But that's just it. All those gamers are gone because of all the bad faith shenanigans over the years. The only ones left are the mouthbreathing neckbeards who will pay whatever they demand. And Blizzard knows it.

These are the lay offs that should have happened long before shuttering dev studios.

The push for console makers towards subscription services is what's really killing the industry. Every game needs to be online, multi-player, or a live service because that's what will sell subs. And because all games need to check these boxes, it's killing innovation. A single player focused, narrative driven game is no longer valued to console makers despite it being precisely what gamers want.

Sifu is an enjoyable, but ultimately forgettable game in the pantheon of the medium. It felt like it was struggling with it's identity. It went too far towards the souls-like trend , when it seemed like it just wanted to be a simpler beat em up game with a cool atmosphere and level design. A few more levels, developed characters and story, and more combat features and it could have truly been something special.

No mention of Alloy from Horizon zeo dawn? It is pride month so we're going to see an uptick in these articles. Fair enough. But no one gives a sh*t. Write good stories with great characters who may happen to be gay if it serves the story. As far as Ellie from the first game? I was never curious about the sexual orientation of a twelve year old girl while playing the game. So when the dlc came out, the reveal seemed unnecessary, exploitative, and cheap. That said, I really enjoyed where ...

I can't get excited about this game until they confirm couch co-op. After the Halo debacle, I'm not making any assumptions.

The fact that when you boot up the game it immediately takes you to the multi-player menu (a first for the series), rather than to the campaign says everything you need to know about 343i, Xbox, and Microsoft Studios.
