Like or not, players won't stop not buying them.

The desperation to sell this overpriced hardware is palpable. Article after article about the pro and the best anyone can say about it is graphics look slightly crisper. Lol.

But overall game sales have declined. And it's directly related to the rise in game prices. The industry saw a gold rush of growth during the lockdown and thought they could get away with anything. Those casual gamers are now long gone and the industry needs to course correct or things will get much worse.

Day one games now cost more on the Playstation digital storefront than at brick and mortor stores.

Verdict: Another $80 roster update.

I'm really looking forward to the Halo CE remake shipping without the split-screen co-op feature. I'm sure it will go over really well.

Console makers build their base on exclusive first party titles. Halo became irrelevant under 343i as they used the Halo brand to chase trends rather than stay true to the brand. And there's so many other IP that MS has just sat on because their focus has been on selling subscriptions. Therefore, every game needed online and multi-player focused and it didn't matter if they were good. It was just content for Game Pass. Great games sell systems. Period. And if Xbox had a larger install...

No split-screen co-op. They decided it was too difficult. And they patched the glitch a long time ago.

Is this going to apply to the campaign or just multiplayer?

Isn't high pricing and economic factors the same thing? Anyways, the whole industry needs to come to terms with the fact that since they've raised the price of games, gamers have become more selective and are buying less games. Roll the average price back to $60 and you can solve that problem immediately. But who are we kidding? CEOs would rather take their golden parachute and blow up the whole industry rather take action that would benefit it's overall health.

Game companies just refuse to learn. Three editions of a single player game with complete content hidden behind a price tag well over one hundred dollars turns away gamers. And after playing the game, it becomes obvious that content was cut out to sell premium editions. The market is too crowded these days and if you don't come with your A game you needn't bother.

Show me one game that shows off the "awesome" power of the pro. They are all minimal upgrades that are barely noticeable in side by side comparisons. There is nothing about the pro that would justify the price tag. In fact, with the kind of fidelity it offers, you'd be better off spending your money on a high end television.

But it's not more games. It's old games with a pro enhanced logo. So yes that's pure marketing gobblygook.

In two to three years the ps6 will be out and this $1200 console will be irrelevant. But if Sony has no competition and suckers show they'll pay anything then that affects the health of the overall market. And it will be a steady decline of the video games industry that is already well on the path to self destruction. A few whales could sink a whole industry.

A mid gen system seemingly created by a marketing team now using marketing lingo to sell a product whose value is not matched by it's price tag. It's a product made for suckers with cash and no "cents".

I look at it this way; PS6 is just a few years away and is going to provide all the same graphical boosts to ps5 games that the pro is doing now. And then some. So to me, spending over $1000 now on something thats going to be essentially obsolete in less than a few years is not worth my time.

That's the most misleading title I've ever seen. California law is simply forcing game companies to clarify something that is a reality.

Regular PS5 Pros are $1197 in Canada, tax included. They aren't moving. You can pre-order them at any Bestbuy or Walmart. So if you're having trouble finding one, I recommend starting here. Especially if you're American because of the conversion on the dollar.

Most notable is that this is just a rumor.

The sequel is much improved. If you play on easy mode, it's still a challenge but you don't have to worry about crafting which element for which creature and just focus on the action.
