It will be sunsetted in the sense that there will not be another console made by MS within a closed system. Consoles will be made third-party very similar to the ROG handheld. So, yes, it indeed will be the end of xbox as we know it.
Since the next gen consoles are being delayed, Sony is well positioned with the pro to continue to generate robust console sales in the coming years. They just need to role out that PSSR 2.0 update and get more devs to commit to enhancements. Wolverine running markedly better on the pro would convince people to cross over.

There hasn't been many triple A titles of note this year. 2026 on the other hand, looks stacked.
If they're going to do stuff like MW3 and BLOPS 7, at least make the campaign split-screen co-op. The way the maps are structured there's no reason not to, and it just adds value to a game that's short on it as it is.
Spiderman and TLOU GAAS were the only games that anyone would actually be curious about and those were the first ones canceled. The fact that Fairgames is still around is a tragedy. Sony has learned nothing. Hulst will soon be gone after Fairgames crashes and maybe they can stop gambling and get back to making games.
