The problem is not that there's DEI fascism in the game. It's that it's in the game seemingly as a replacement for all the elements one expects from the IP. And, furthermore, this is not a new issue. People are sick of devs, writers, filmmakers taking existing IP and twisting its bones into a pretzel just to suit a political agenda.

The fact that companions don't have health bars is perfectly indicative of the DEI fascism prevalent in modern gaming. Everyone and everything is just an extension of yourself. Anything that exists outside of that bubble not only doesn't exist, but shouldn't exist.
Use your mobile gaming division and leave consoles out of it. If you end up with a success, you can always port it over afterwards.

I gotta say...these are the laziest ports I've ever seen. They don't take advantage of the haptic feedback triggers in any way. There's zero visual upgrade. These are , essentially, straight up ports. Now, these games already looked and played great, although guns never did feel punchy. If you already have the ps4 versions, there is no reason to upgrade.
Some devs no one has ever heard of says PS5 pro is great! Sony really getting desperate to push a system that will be irrelevant in a few years time with the release of the ps6 doing twice the processing at half the price.

We already did. Evil West is essentially a continuation of the story. However, it doesn't play very well. It's very goofy, and the esthetics are very cartoonish compared to The Order.
I just booted it up again yesterday. Still looks and plays better than most current gen games. And comparing most of these last gen games to today, it's easy to see that the bloated budgets of today go almost entirely towards monetary schemes rather than making a fun game. But the Order did so much world building; the characters, acting, and dialogue so good, it really deserves a sequel. If Space Marine can get a sequel...
For me, it was all the swearing mixed in with the Whedenesque banter between the protagonist and her "cuff". So it wasn't the story or mechanics, it was the insufferable characters. It was too much right from the start. And as a high fantasy game, it would seem to be cutting itself off from a target audience of young girls.
