Think I'm done with EA. I don't want to buy FIFA 15 and am hoping that people don't but unfortunately they will.
It is gamers who can kill off microtransactions and DLC by not purchasing them but it seems SOME modern gamers are too stupid or ignorant to see this and instead blithely keep handing over wads of cash that sees this rubbish become mainstream.

Has anybody tried using things like reverse side to see if they work properly? Do object balls throw accurately when spin is applied to the white? I'm sure they do but I've never tested it on any of the recent games. Anyone know?
The problem isn't hype.
The problem is firstly that realistic open world games are kinda boring simply because of the realism.
The second, and most important, is that modern AAA games are made to be easy and completable by even idiots.You literally can't fail to win. Gameplay is so streamlined and simplified that there's no fun to be had.

Do what Netflix do - low cost subscription which when ultiplied by high subscription numbers provides your profit - £10 per month to rent anything and I'm in. I would assume nothing closer than one year old would get on the service so there's no new games for that price.

The game won't be any different so why would you want to play it again over another game? Watch Dogs would be the obvious one.
Why would you be determined to only not play it if you have another open world AAA game? There are already so many quality indie games out that you hardly have time for AAA if you dare move away from boring rehashes.

Graphics don;t make a game, they're merely the icing on the cake. If you buy the same game twice with slightly different graphics you are part of the problem of over-moneterisation affecting gaming.

You have to remove the 3rd party games from the MS presentation and give them all to Sony as DLC and first access (on either side) doesn't count as a selling point. DLC is crap full stop and having something a couple of weeks early doesn't detract from the opposition.
All 3rd party games will look best on PS4 as we have seen already so they win every single one of them.
I've got a PS4 but I thought Sunset Overdrive was the star of the show. It looked FUN. In a way modern games often aren't. A bit silly, OTT, just blind stupidity. I liked the look of it.
That wasn't a gameplay trailer, let's be clear.That was cut scenes and bullshit. There was not 1 second of actual gameplay. even then, the players still look nothing like real life and neither do the fans. FIFA14 killed this fanchise with random events, bad referees and scripted play. Nothing in this makes me want to buy FIFA 15.
Sunset Overdrive the best game thee, actually looked fun rather than taking itself ott serious. Too many 3rd party games wich wil look better elesewhere though. im not interested in who gets dlc first microsoft! I expect sony to smash this to pieces. Xbone might now be dead.
