Of course it is, believe it or not but indie games is where the innovation is happening. Games on iPhone and Android are as innovative as most PC and console games out right now. The amount of incredible indie games on PC right now are mind boggling and they are the ones that are trying new things and changing the way people play games. There are indie games on consoles but they sell for much more than PC indie titles, I'd be foolish to buy a $15 indie game when I can get three $5 games o...

PC has a hard time doing PS2 emulation, let alone the PS3. I wouldn't count on PS2 emulation on PS3 any time soon (or ever, most likely). Maybe Sony will release another model with the PS2 chipset. But until the PS4 or PS5, emulation on consoles is just a dream.

I do think the common gamer's opinion does matter. Maybe not as individuals, but as a whole. If gamers think game X is dumb they will stop buying the games, thus forcing the developer to try something new and expand the franchise. Sadly this isn't the case with Call of Duty, among other franchises..

I'm sure they have reasons for the set being Western Chess, probably the fact that most people who buy the game will have no idea how to play Shogi or even know how to read Japanese. People know Western chess and it's easy to learn.
