Also I wasn't aware that BF3 is multiplat. As far as I know it's a PC exclusive. Bad Company is like Battlefield lite, it would piss off a lot of veterans if EA decides for it to go multiplat. If it does then it will be severely gimped to fit on console.

And why is that a bad thing? There's a free version of UDK in case you didn't know. This lets users create their own things with UE3. For professional use of course you have to pay for it but that's not the point. UE is relatively easy to develop for and can still get great visuals if devs use it right...
This is a pretty fail article. The game doesn't require constant online connection, it just requires it for the initial start to validate that your game is genuine. All EA games are like this.. herp derp. It needs to connect to the EA servers. I'm pretty sure it tells you this when you install the game.

These screens actually look very crappy, but maybe it's just me being used to crisp, sharp, high res textures, no jags, no AA, 1920x1080 graphics. I'll be ready to pump the settings up when it hits PC so I can play the game the way Crytek intended it to be played.

It's a Valve game, you don't have to worry whether it will have mod support or not because that is one of the biggest selling points for Valve games. The community thrives on modding, keeping the game up and running long after the console versions were dead and forgotten.
People are forgetting that ME2 runs on a modified Unreal Engine 3.5. So ME3 will probably just be an small upgrade from ME2. I'm hoping UE4 is somewhere around the corner, late Q1 2011 preferably. IF ME3 uses UE4 then the game will probably look fantastic and be a major upgrade from the previous games.
Some of my favorite games are multiplats. I don't really care about exclusives as they tend to be a penis measuring contest between equally small penis sized gamers. How many exclusives will people actually buy? I'd say about %60. Less when you're underage and still live with your parents' money.
