You don't drive a car into a corner at 40 MPH... That's around 64 KPH I believe. Pretty fast for a corner, but it depends on the angle. On a corner ranked 1-3 of course its going to be hard. Anything above 3 you can get away with, but don't go into a 1-3 at 40 MPH unless your intent is to drift into it.
But I can see a positive side to them too. They give players incentive to keep playing and get better at the game. What I don't like is that some games give out achievements for doing the stupidest things (Madden06 I'm talking about you and your "Score A Touchdown" and "Get a First Down" achievements) and this leads to people abusing it. I know plenty of people who bought Madden06 just for achievement farming. It's ridiculous.

lol Interactive sex-scene. That would be interesting, but then every single person who cares enough to make a big deal about it will make a big deal about it and then the whole "sex in videogames scars children for life" argument will come up. Highly doubt it though. Even so, Crysis on low-medium will still obliterate anything a console can produce. I can get a stable framerate of about 25-30 on medium.

The game on both systems will be great. I'm actually waiting to see how Square Enix will deliver on the 360 version as this is their first time developing a FF game for the XBox.

A lot of PC gamers still use old CRT's because you can get a hell of a lot better framerate than an LCD. But LCD's look better.

I don't see gamers buying an Apple console in the near future. I love Apple, yet even I wouldn't buy an Apple console. Not because everyone else won't get it, but because Apple will have to bring something new and fresh to the table if they want to compete with the big boys Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. Apple usually has wonderful ideas and tech but with Natal and Sony's thing there just isn't enough room for another console.
