"It's the whining in general not realising these people need to make money to keep people employed and make more money"
Laying off hundreds of people wasn't enough, huh?
@isa
"Remember MS paying to keep Tomb Raider off PS4 for an entire year?"
Are you actually trying to equate locking an entire game off a system to a month exclusivity for a map pack? One is flat out horrible and denies people the opportunity to play for a very long time without purchasing an all new platform; the other sucks but you can deal with it for a month as you can already play the game.
If your entire defence for this practice is whataboutism then it shows how weak your opinion is on this matter...
It's bad when any platform holder does this. If your emotional stability is so fragile that you cant just say it's bad regardless of platform then I pity you.
"This is all started by MS"
Oh so it's okay to you now? If MS does it that makes it okay?? Glad to know you love MT's then lol.
"NPD recently released top 10 best selling games on ps4 all time and if i am not wrong 3 COD games were in top 5."
The exact same games were in the top sellers for the Xbox One so whatever point you're trying to make here is irrelevant.
"This VOCAL MINORIT...
Last gen when the 360 ran COD better there were conspiracy theories about them paying Activision to hold back the PS3 version. However, when an exclusivity deal is made that actively worsens the value of the product on all rival systems its "Activision did it cuz Sony just so dam cool".
Never change N4G.
"Unlike many post apocalyptic games who is always about finding a damn cure"
Yeah TLoU was about someone with an immunity to the infection which is completely original...
Come on dude. Don't try and bolster the story by saying "it's not your typical find the cure narrative" because that was actually a major aspect of the story. If you remove that element you have no story for the first game. It would require a heavy amount of r...
Yeah but reviews don't matter so it's fine.
Apparently it is, seeing as many around here will try to characterize Gears 5 as doing the same thing.
@AspiringProGenji
So If this country is worried about it what's your argument then?: https://time.com/longform/s...
@sophisticated_chap
Your anecdotes aren't valid to this discussion when we have countries with people who've lost homes to rising sea levels. Anecdotes aren't data my friend. Facts don't care about your feelings ect....
"Except Sony is also going down the "be kinder to the environment" hole."
Time to get a Switch.... Wait don't tell me- Soulja Console it is....
@harmny
I guess I need to make this even clearer than I already have. Saying he's taking risks without telling me what they are, doesn't mean he's actually taking risks. You need to actually tell me what risks are being taken specifically. Otherwise you're just spouting bs.
This isn't a risk. What evidence do you have to suggest that one of the most hyped games of the year being made by one of the most well known figures in the industry, with the backing of a major publisher, and promotion from multiple media figures in the industry is a risk? How is a game that was hyped before it was even properly announced a risk? Spoiler: It's not.
"People complain all the time that developers don't take risks"

With that said though wouldn't it be interesting to see them attempt to reboot a relatively under developed hero via a video game and potentially turn it into something popular? It would be risky but I think we'd all enjoy the idea of jumping into a super hero game with no way of knowing what to expect from the hero and the villains.
"I don’t name this for titles that I don’t make original idea, game design or produce."
I wonder if he takes credit for the abysmal MGSV marketing campaign too...
I have no doubts Kojima puts a lot of effort into developing his games, but he's trying way too hard to make sure he gets the credit for just about everything that goes into his game. He definitely has a quality team of animators and maybe his direction actually brings out more tal...
And we still don't see everyone slapping their name on the boxart in Japan...
"The tweet is actually poorly translated."
So he does everything except translating his tweets I guess, lol?
I actually think we'd benefit greatly from that. Many game developers are highly critical of design but they have a far better understanding of the difficulty involved in creating it. So the vice versa part isn't needed because it's already true for the most part. The difference is that they have more respect for the process of development compared to consumers and critics who don't and throw out cheap accusations of laziness.
Most gamers/critics think they ...
"forced female lead just to push diversity which fucked the story"
How did a vagina ruin the story? Are they that powerful to you?
"studio like naughty dog and santa monica work on gears, you would see the game scoring 90+"
Neither studio has a good track record in multiplayer games in the last two generations. I'm sorry but they would not create something as amazing as you're claiming. They're good at m...
Using Metacritic unironically? LOL.
I swear the cognitive dissonance in gamers is unparalleled. In one comment section its "Yeah? WELL ACCORDING TO METACRITIC-" and in another its "You trust reviewers? WHATS WRONG WITH YOU?".
Yeah for anyone wondering why you can't reinvent multiplayer games, look at the reactions to balance changes in LoL. Just a balance patch or character redesign can cause outrage.
I mean people have always been discussing older games for the past few decades, lol...
You've caught up to the the rest of us. Congratulations?
