I'm not a big fan of SH 4 but the collection seems kind of hollow without that title. The first and the third were my favorites.
Yes I've seen it and I keep my opinion on the 3D just like John Carpenter did. 3D improved but not to the point of making me drool or either overtaking everything.
The 2 separate views is actually a rather usefull feature but not exactly something I need.
We are talking about 3D not actual refresh rate or response timing which are two very important things in gaming. And I'm afraid I've seen the so called "awesome of the 3D" it came in the form of lame special effects, story and actual decent plots sacrificed for the glory of the allmighty 3D, expensive cinema tickets and loads of headaches.

The whole combay system feels alien to the Final Fantasy series. Squaresoft had changed little things here and there, mostly on the character build-up system but never something that radical in terms of actual combat. Square-Enix came along and since their failure with X-2 they decided to radically change everthing. It might be an ok kind of battle system for some people but in reality it doesn't beat it's mediocrity and flaws, especially when it's on a Final Fantasy title.
The raw combat mechanics kept loyal to their origins. From I to X things kept evolving rather smoothly, on the straight path that it should be. From XII and onwards they just totally fucked it up to the point of no return.
What I mean here with classical gameplay is the whole static party concept with the ATB (turn based or real time) and where you do control every character in the traditional sense without all of the flashy action bullshit. Changing characters in the middle ...
I'd rather have a same size LED for almost half the price but without the 3D. I've always said that 3D tech is nothing but a lame and anoying gimmick.
But I'l give them one thing, this is a great way to market their 3D features and to make them accessible to a wider audience.
It's still the same bullshit with the same characters I don't care about and the same stupid gameplay that had nothing to do with the classical Final Fantasy gameplay I know. The addition of QTE also made me laugh, a big deep cynical laugh...
Let's be honest here, you guys at Square-Enix are really clueless aren't you?
Keep the intensity and difficulty from the previous games aswell as the weapon and combo variety. Remove the QTE mechanics and keep the slow motion moments to a bare minimum. Dismemberment should be kept aswell, mixing it in with the new hard slash feel (which is the whole concept that they call "steel and bone", the feeling of hardness and resistance while slashing through the enemies).

It will probably be enhanced in the way that it uses the new Wii U controller's features. The lack of it certainly won't spoil my experience for I am a fan of the good old fashioned gamepad.

Oh fuck I can't believe it! The game looks good and bloody but those QTE... fuck indeed my dear friend... fuck indeed. If the gameplay does stay similiar combo and difficulty wise then I guess it won't really break the game, but I do hope they ain't trying to kiss God of Overrated's ass.

Kinect a killer? It's just another stupid motion controller gimmick like the rest of them that are all across the market, an expensive one while we are at it.
And I hate to break it to you but you kind of mentioned multi-platforms as core games.

They need to stop pushing this whole kinect bullshit. kinect support here and there is fine, but relying on it as the big killer is just plain sad.
So far I haven't been convinced on this one and I doubt that will ever change.
Seems like this gen is killing all of my favorite franchises and gameplay styles.
