Sony is making a profit with every Vita sold just like the 3DS did at the same price before the price drop. This is the reason Sony is not dropping the price of the Vita yet and is gambling with the slow sales right now.
The proprietary card is okay, IF Sony could have made the 4GB at the VERY least free with every Vita sold and then not overprice the rest of the big cards.
I think at this point in time a free memory and a price drop on the memory is needed. ...
We don't even have that localized for the PSP :(
This is just sad. Is Sony also closing factories for their "money bleeding" TV division? Because for the love of heaven they are losing more money making TV's than making games.

Nothing against FFXIV but I think localizing FF Type-0 would be better.
I think the other reason for this, is a lot of Japanese game developers still have games coming out for the PSP.
Even if these games are available by download for the Vita, a gamer won't just jump the gun to buy a new handheld when he/she can play a new game on the previous gen one.
The DS/3DS eco system does not have this dilemma. I think Ninty did a better job with the transition than Sony did when it comes to the software releases between their handhe...

I am also worried about CoD: Declassified.
Not because its made by an unproven developer but because of the development time.
I always believe, even a middle tier developer can do great things given the time but if the time is constraint, even the best developer will have problems making a quality game.
I hope I am wrong but for a big title like this. I think rushing it would be a bad thing.

Free pass? Japanese games are more ridiculed this generation more than anything else. People have forgotten to accept the culture as it is and has branded almost everything Japanese in games as inferior.

That they do, I will not be surprise if a good percentage of their profit from the Vita are on the memory cards but I think they can sell more Vita's if they bundle the 4GB memory card, outright.
