I understand where you are coming from but those old IPs are money makers. Those games keeps gaming companies a float and gives them a chance to create new IPs. Its not easy to make hits after hits with new IPs, especially with the consumer appetite to want everything to look cutting edge and slightly different these days.
And I do not believe they will hinder the creation of new IPs. There is a lot of popular titles last gen that did not stop the creation of new titles this ...
Well if Sega continues to localize Yakuza then they'll be taking my cold hard earned money for sure. I just wish they do that on their other titles like Valkyria Chronicles III for example :(

Gawd, I hope they do not stop localizing the main Yakuza series. I can live without Sega localizing the spin-offs but I want Yakuza 5 and every subsequent sequel to the main story.
You should definitely pick up VC1, its one of the hidden gems this gen. The only sad thing is the sequel is on the PSP and Sega does not want to localize the 3rd part :(
But still it should not stop you from getting VC1 :)
Yeah that mouse with the "nipple", that was one of the weirdest mouse I have ever seen or used.
I don't think there is such a thing as a perfect game but games does not need to be perfect to enjoy them.
Sony should just really consider making this a standard. It may not be big but at least people can save their games and then just upgrade later on.
I don't think FFVIII deserves to be on that list.
At least Revenant Wings and FFX-2 was enjoyable.

I was actually thinking the same thing, I've been running with an 80GB Phat for years now (with the slot load acting up).
So I will probably need to change PS3 and if the 16GB is true and comes at a really inexpensive price then I will probably get that one as a replacement.
My mom has a dead IBM laptop. So if the HDD is universal I could just take that. ^^

I think Konami wants to continue the True Rune Saga but Yoshitaka Murayama the creator of Suikoden declined their offer. The reasons are unknown.
But it saddens me that Suikoden will not get a proper closure that it deserves. :(
