Lucas and Spielberg are very uninformed and is clearly out of touch with the gaming community and the industry.
For guys who wants to make games (in the case of Lucas has). They sure don't know what they are talking about.
And I doubt they would use "Redux" as a subtitle.
You know guys I'm really starting to think there is a curse with the "3rd console" release. Especially how MS & Sony did a switcharoo on how they presented themselves to the consumer.
The price of the X1 will go down, its the nature of the console business. I said the same thing with when the price of the Vita was in question.
All this negativity was never about the price to. It just added fuel to the ammunition.
Possible, Ryse and Crimson Dragon where once 360 games but were moved to the X1.
Sony "could" be doing the same thing but for now we just have to live with it being in vaporware status and can only hope it doesn't stay permanently that way.
Everyone said the same thing about FFXIIIVs that became FFXV. So never say, never even if the game is still in vaporware status.
That's stating the obvious when the PS4 and X1 is at 1 and 2. Of course, there is high demand.
Exactly, I think creating the right expectations will lead to better development cost.
Its the industry that is over budgeting the game production due to unreasonable expectations and only heaven knows where they are actually investing and losing their money at.
I mean look at Square Enix, they made millions on Tomb Raider, Hitman and Sleeping Dogs and yet they come out and say they didn't make money?
Something is wrong here and the consu...
Well Sony would have to pay SE for the exclusive rights but since FF and KH will more than likely sell more on a Playstation platform than on an Xbox one. There is no need to pay for the exclusivity rights.
This way SE would look good by not alienating any fanbase they may have on Xbox and Sony would be spending their money elsewhere.
Besides this way SE has no excuse if FFXV or KH3 become vaporware this gen like they did with FFXIIIVs last time.
"I do not think Microsoft gave much thought to the people of the world where internet connection is a primary problem"
They didn't need to because the X1 is designed for the major developed markets. Its not a console designed for world wide appeal.
MS strategy is to no longer capture the majority of the gaming market because they already have gamers who are loyal to the brand. That will buy it regardless of restrictions.

The check in doesn't bother me, my internet is already so bad that it acts as its own DRM. I have learned to live with it. lol!
Its the other policy that I do not agree with.
But who am I to argue. Yoshida is like a one man PR machine right now that knows his stuff.
Troll city here we come, I can just see some policy changes and more work for the mods now.
Bullied me? You know I can still not pay for the subscription right? Not everyone of us does online multiplayer unlike mandatory DRM?
Yeah your right stupidity has no cure. Especially the ones that makes boundless ASSumptions.
You know as much as I'm against a paywall. I did sign up for PS Plus not just once but twice. So I guess I have no freaking excuse here...
@whoyouwit04
AC:BF and Watch Dog always online? Where did you get that info? Source please, if you will.
Yoshida is a one-man PR machine right now and in a good way.
I don't have a particular problem with the price because the prices will go down eventually. Its the nature of the console industry. I have said the very same thing where the PS Vita was questioned about its price.
However, the DRM and the way MS is defending it. Now that's a totally different story.
@Grib
The X1 is marketed for the developed countries. It does not take into account the developing markets with bad internet infrastructure (none in some cases and areas) or retailers that can keep the games at launch prices for years before a substantial price drop is felt.
They say its a "sprint" but the online checking and restrictions on the physical media just alienated some potential customers on regions where your consoles could still be sell...
I grew up watching the movies these two men made but I do not agree with their sentiments with regards to the story telling in video games. I think they are very misinformed.
