I think that's almost a given since it will only work on certain countries because of the restrictions applied on it.
When a console can only function on selected countries due to restrictions. You would think that would be a red signal that DRM is not the future.
Maybe not troll bait but sure is sad when an article would ask the community to become compliant to unfair changes forced upon them and waive their consumer rights along to have the industry continue a very unprofitable practice.
Before you reason about what is in the "user agreement" I would just like to explain this is in contrast of the exhaustion doctrine under the first-sale doctrine and as long as the law has no clear cut ruling that puts one over the other th...
Which is weird because "Below" on the X1 is an indie game and is on the list.
If Sony had the Restrictions and MS didn't. Sony would be bankrupt by now. All bets on their financial recovery goes out the window.
We also do not know if this feature is behind a Paywall and/or if there is an extra hidden cost to activate it.
Actually you can share digital games/content that you purchased with the PS3, PSP and 360.
You simply need the account of the person that has the game in your console and download away.
This was the modus operandi of the members of PinoyPSP.com where they shared alternate accounts (which they put the exact amount of money on the alt accounts wallet to buy games/content) then share it around the community. After you're done deactivate the account and pass ...
There is a simple answer. The restrictions does not affect them.
The author must have been watching a different E3. Unless we are being trolled or something.
^ Oh I did not misunderstood anything, in all actually I think you guys are misinterpreting what I am saying.
I was merely explaining why MS consider "gamers" in the minority. Never did I once not agree with you because I do. ^^
I also understand what you meant by blind love to a certain devices but to me it would take more than the current offerings of a gaming console to sway the casual crowd from the notepad market.
The notepads ...
Must have expanded due to time travelling or something... yeah...
In fairness to the iPad, the iPad brought convenience, necessity and portability with it that we enjoyed with our laptops, to a degree.
That's why I have never compared a notepad to a console because the former can be used as a NEED while the later will always certainly be a WANT.
MS doesn't need to listen to the gaming community. To them and their diehard fanbase, we are the minority. They have a grander target, far beyond gaming.
Also in regards to the article. Please don't jinx it. Never consider something over when the war has yet to be won.
No restrictions. That was suppose to make these games cheaper.
Sorry bro, as it stands we will be unable to play the Xbox One outside of the specified 21 countries, even if you have the correct regioned games for it. This maybe because of the internet activation for the games and the 24 hr check in. Its not going to be like the 360.
I expect MS to clarify this guideline in the future.
The X1 working only on selected countries is already a restriction. You can buy a 360 anywhere around the world and it will still work no matter where you are.
As long as the share feature in not behind any Paywall then that should be good. Otherwise lending and borrowing your physical media to a friend without any cost tops that.
That would depend on where you live bro, the news of the X1 only working on specific regions already gives a plus to the old and tested physical media approach because it will work, no matter where you are and if your connected or not.
Don't bro, its not worth it and you'll hurt the VCR.
In some ways you can also do this on the current gen consoles (PS3/360). You just need to share your account and your friend or family can download any digital content you have purchased or redeemed on to their console.
