@Misaka
Then why the heck did they not localized these games on the DS where it originally came out? Both Tales of Innocence and Tales of Heart did well there.
^ The art design is different. You cannot compare ToX to HR when they totally took different designs to begin with. That is just a failed argument.
You have to judge the game for what it is and compare it to a game that took the same approach like "Ni No Kuni".
You can also add .hack//Link, Tales of Rebirth (port), Suikoden on the PSP. Beyond the Labyrinth on the 3DS and Tales or Vesperia PS3 version.
There is not enough facepalm in the world for the comment that Pat Robertson just made.
P4G is not like P3P which lacked FES. P4G had more content than P4, not less. So P4G cannot be weaker since everything on it was improved from its PS2 original.
Bamco also owe us some "Tales of" games. >_<
I mean Tales of Rebirth one of the best selling Tales games in Japan, never made it into the English speaking market and that was on the PS2.
@xBlackSm0kesx (below)
I do not think Konami has anymore interest in JRPGs. I mean, look at what they have done to the Suikoden franchise and Beyond the Labyrinth for the 3DS has no localization.
Well bro, I hope you at least you buy Tales of Symphonia: Unison Pack because that will come with dual audio next year.
Although I would implore you to buy Tales of Xillia (1 & 2) too, because good JRPGs are hard to come by and effort should be rewarded by the community. I mean its just language, we played games without any voice before.
Please let it be the likes of Kodakawa, Marvelous AQL, Gung Ho, Tecmo Koei or Level-5. They know how not to kill games and will have a good chance of localizing JRPGs outside of Japan and let Atlus remain 3rd party.
What makes it worse, is Capcom is not even sure they want to localize BoF6, even if its for the PC/iOS/Android. :/
Not even on a single console or handheld. Not even digital only...
Edit: And they are not even sure they want to localize the game. >_<
Do you mean the current LTD Shipments or the projected PS3 sales for 2013?
I do not have the LTD Shipment numbers, only that the estimated SOLD numbers at Vgchartz stands at 78.4M.
Sony expects to sell around 10M PS3 this year. If I misunderstood your question, then my bad.
As long as XSeed continues to localize those games for us. You will hear no complaints from me.
@worldwidegaming
More people would have lost their jobs if the company went under because they wouldn't do the cuts. I know it sounds harsh but the alternative would be worse and yes, I have been cut before when the company I was working with began down-sizing.
If you're going to be mad, be mad at the financial companies that took the bail out money from the Government (tax payer money) and gave it to their CEO's as bonuses while firing people alo...
^^^There is no need to defend your review. If you feel that its justified then that should be enough. Defending your review will just make its credibility shallow.
Just as you have an opinion about the games you review. There will be people who will have opinions about your reviews and so on and so fort.
Never underestimate the Big N. They always finds a way to bounce back. Heck! Even at their worse, they are making a profit.
Well the website is named "my stupid opinion". I guess the author had to live up to the name. lol!
I have never missed a Tales game that was localized and I am not about to start now, especially when Baba is working hard to get brand recognition.
My wallet and body is ready for this game!
Sony has to come out and help localize some of those JRPGs, especially the ones with a western market.
Definitely agree, they can say all they want with the Smartphones eating the lion share of the mobile gaming market but Nintendo and their handheld wizardry will always find a way to the top.
