My mom actually purchased God of War: Chain of Olympus (PSP) for my kid brother because one of his friend said it was a great game (Of course it is! But I'm talking about kids who are below 10 here).
So when I saw my kid brother playing the game, I said to my mom, did you know that game has some very explicit content? My mom was like shock and I showed her the back of the box with the ESRB rating on it.
Let's just say after that my brother went back t...
@Ulf
You hit it in the nail. I hope people actually read your post and tries to understand it.
@darkride66
There is nothing wrong with your question but your final comment at the end was unnecessary. It kind of ruined your entire post.
If you want your question to be taken seriously do not add comments that agitate the people you are mentioning just let them do what they want and move on.
Sometimes we also ha...
Just wait for the November numbers and the gaming industry will be sure to impress some more. :)
Then what's with all the hate? That's the biggest sign of insecurity right there.
Look let them do whatever PR thing they want to do, as long as its not illegal we shouldn't really be that affected by it.
We should be happy the entire console industry is healthy and that's what really matters.
That's why a healthy competition is needed in any market because the competitors will make each other better.
They have no NA release dates, that's what they have in common. -_-
Because people have claimed that the smartphones will become as powerful as the dedicated handheld devices, some say even as powerful as a console.
So just imagine those types of gaming power with the current battery tech we have now.
It would be one hell of a fail for being a smartphone wouldn't it?
Because I don't know anyone who buys a phone only to low-batt it by playing hours and hours of games on one. That would just fails the p...
I don't think the remake would have been a big deal if they didn't do all those drastic changes to Dante.
From a Pizza eating, ice cream loving (strawberry flavored and prefers two scoops) guy to a chain smoker... they totally killed what made the original Dante so appealing.
I mean Dante can do all this crazy moves, kick demon butt and yet he still remains a big kid at heart. Not a rebel without a cause!
You just don't change an ...
Those are women? They look like zombies!
@Proeliator
Your talking about Tom Chicks man, that guy gives a lot of low scores to popular games. He gave Gears of War 3 a C+ that's like a 5 or 6 if it was /10 rating system.
He hates Duex Ex, gave 5/10 to LA Noire, gave an F to Fallout: Vegas and thinks Heavy Rain, God of War 3, Mario Galaxy 2 and Mass Effect 2 as overrated games (just to name a few).
So I don't think that 4/10 he gave UC3 is a good example to use in any debate.
I hope Sony would add an incentive for PS+ members when using this passport plan. Like gain some points or something that can be used for additional discounts.
Wow that's just sad. lol!
Until we get a battery that can bring us the longevity of a smartphone combined with the power of a dedicated handheld device without it exploding on our faces. I don't see the market dying out anytime soon.
And its really unfair to talk about sales when there are more smartphone makers out there and only 2 dedicated handheld producers and Sony also makes smartphones too.
There are many factors why people buy new smartphones (trend, necessity comes to min...
Its a preview not an announcement.
Nice blog and I agree with it.
I ain't taking anything away from Jobs but how can he revolutionize gaming when almost anyone who follows Jobs exploits knows he doesn't want Apple to enter the gaming market.
Everything that happened was inadvertent and wasn't planned nor was it anything new since people have actually played games on their cellphones before.
I think Gamasutra is more credible than IGN.
Either way it does not take anything away from UC3 or the money that Sony is making on the game.
I find it concerning that people are getting up in arms with Sony selling 3.8M UC3 copies to retailers and is trying to blow it down as if the company didn't make any profit out of it or as if it wasn't an important milestone for the franchise.
People obsess with SOLD data should realize that data is not accurate, there is no-way you can track every retail sold to every consumer around the world. That is why companies uses SHIPPED data as their reference.
Okay so this kid had the money to buy the game but didn't have the patience to wait in line.
He decides to rob someone but ended up robbing the wrong guy and fails.
He then goes back in line to buy the $60 game and gets caught and now he needs $50k to post bail.
Another brilliant fail!
So instead of just trying to get a job someplace else and earn the money to buy a... lets say $299 Xbox 360.
He had to steal one, get caught, resisted arrest and now needs to pay $15,000 for bail.
Brilliant fail!
To tell you the truth "real" detractors of UC3 are in the minority (and I mean really small minority). They pass off as some intelligent debater then starts watering down the achievements of the game and blast the fans as some sort of evil cult that is out to ruin the world.
All because in truth they hate Sony for one reason or another or they are the very same people from the ones they marginalize, only supporting the competitor.
For everyone else ...
