It has always been and always will be and issue with bandwidth. The amount of time it takes for your system to process local data vs their server processing data and sending it back to through the network to your machine to be processed. There are times where you could de-sync your machine a couple seconds back during say cut scenes and such to use this technology but as far as realtime this will always be the hurdle it faces.
IMO a better route would be to make console mod...
No doubt, at this point, It's just embarrassing.
LOL, Oh Microsoft.
VERY DECEPTIVE INDEED. Cliffy was saying this in a positive light. But OP spun it in a negative light.
*Stabs OP in the Face with a banana*
$12000 a month! That's insane, Imagine how many copies of Infinite Warfare I could buy! 1 For everyone on this thread!
The way Microsoft handled the 55% failure rate was brutal. Yes it actually got to 55%.I would say it was a good console. Great is definitely an over estimation for a console that over heated for the first 4 years and finished last for it's generation.
I don't know about Great. It was a good console. Probably the best Microsoft has had yet.
Web based games and traditional games are not in direct competition. If you take traditional games (Physical based, downloadable based games) Consoles sell 4% more than PC games. If you lump in mobile which is another market of gaming just like mobile is and E-Sports then PC sells 1 % more.
From a developers stand point the traditional games market is a more tempting market since they pay big dollars for development. The console market selling 4% more in this category is a ...
Either is PC. You have the Windows platform, Linux and Mac and of course Web which also branches onto mobile devices and consoles as well but is lumped in with PC's. It would be nice to see more information on the stats and where all these sales are coming from before everyone goes nuts. This site only offers charts.
One thing to take into consideration here is what spots they advertise in. Tv has critical times that amplify in the millions which are also expensive. Its no secret Microsoft spends more than Sony on marketing so this makes perfect sense. they probably purchase more critical tv spots as well and around more critical events. Never the less still impressive numbers. I have always liked the gears games but even though ad's show higher numbers I still prefer uncharted. It's just a better...
PS4 has background music though. For quite along time now actually. Cortana is the first thing I disable on windows 10 lol so, Meh.
@kevnb No it does not increase performance, In some instances it might create a bottle neck because it will start feeing more draw calls to the gpu, If the gpu has a lower clock it will bottle neck it.
Did you read what I said? All hardware has a max limit, You cannot increase performance of the hardware cause it has a final limit. You can optimize hardware with software to get closer to achieving that final limit. But you cannot gain more performance as it is bound by hardwar...
Wrong, The Performance of a CPU is bound by the hardware. DX optimizes the CPU's usage to leave more resources available to be used by other tasks only, It doesn't add more CPU power. this is a common fallacy with the media and how computers work. They don't understand the science of how computers work.
When they see 1000% increase on something they automatically think it has to do with throughput but they usually mean in terms of optimization and how much more th...
Direct X doesn't give performance increases! I feel like no one on this site has even looked up what an API does. You cannot change the total performance of a machine as that is bound by what hardware. You can build software that makes things easier for developers to do with the present software. This is what a low level api can help with.
API's get better and help developers gain more optimal access to to the metal and leverages ways to use it only. They are meant fo...
They have one good month and already plus isn't good enough? lol Do they ever celebrate anything besides mediocrity? Microsoft every year hand of fist has been giving more and more mostly because they can't seem to even come close to PS4 sales.. Is the competition great for XboxOne games? yes of course.. look at all these freebies right, But it is definitely out of desperation.. that said one month of more know titles doesn't make it's service better at all.
Here is a concept.. Play the game first.. Did you like it? okay .. stfu and play it some more.
Theeee end!
I actually really liked the orders story. It was just those times that it was like "LET ME PLAY!" that made me mad lol. It didn't ruin the game for me though. I found it pretty fun.
It's actually pretty understood amongst the community that PSVR isn't as strong as PC based VR headset. Its the same equivalent as PS4 to PC's. Nothing has really changed here but it doesn't mean it can't be good.
Also, with VR in general there is a certain small percentage of people that get motion sickness from it. Not everyone does though. Sitting with a screen inches away from your eyes for hours also is gonna cause some effects. I mean who hasn't ...
Not sure if you directed that at me or @INDAZONE lol. Either way, If you like the game man, Do your thing. I didn't say it was bad by any means. Just passing on it for games that intrigue me more.
Fair enough. Here is where I think Microsoft is doing right. They accepted lose along time ago. That said they are sticking to games. They are not jumping in on V.R. Holo lens is to expensive and to far out at this point. What launched PlayStation into the spot they are in is the primary focus on games which resonated with fans more so.. oh and the E3 where Microsoft flubbed the debut of the XBONE.
That said they have improved drastically on a lot of things. While they are...
