Except the souls games play the exact same way combat wise. So it's ok to hit and strafe enemies over and over in the souls series, but now its a flaw for another similar game?
Bet if they had used some lame gimmick like the souls series with the same gameplay they would be praising it's "challenging" gameplay.
Same here, I stopped being wowed by graphics long long ago when I realized that you aren't going to just stand there and drool over the pixels the whole time and eventually you have to play the game.

They knew there were no games out as always at the start of a new gen, let them wait. Sick of console graphic whores rushing the devs because they can't wait. Gen 8 should have started THIS year with at least 12 games for gen 8 on release, but they will NEVER do that as long as they have early adopters to take advantage of.

I must be the only souls fan that likes the series because of the combat aspect. I find the series to have plenty of cheap moments, deaths that are simply unavoidable on your 1st playthrough, which is cheap. If the whole premises is trial and error how can this tactic not be seen as cheap?
Difficulty is subjective and it's funny to see the oh it's easier than the last when all of them are easy if you haven't been playing a bunch of hand holding games the entire...
Never bothered with ascension as I was pretty satisfied with gow3, though I always was interested in the MP. Odd choice to be honest. Tlou was the first and im sure ascension won't be the last.
Reading the comments I truly hope the same logic is used when other companies start releasing last gen ports. Would really rather have a new ip instead of the last gen money grabs that are about to release in the next coming months, but they can't forget about all the new ps...
Almost a year later and the game is still missing its most hyped feature. I knew they were going to wait until WD was about to release before they got off their arse's.
Glad to hear about the non-contact racing, can't wait to see how these non skilled drivers who like to crash into everyone trying to win react when they no longer can win and have to learn how to really drive lol. That's another feature that should have been there at the start.

If playing videogames for fun makes me a casual than I've been a casual gamer for 35 years. No, I don't get a sense of achievement from beating a videogame. I get it when I win something real. I have walls full of trophies and awards. The only people I've encountered who do have very little in real life to be proud of so they use videogames to feel worthy.

Im sure sony will want this game to sell more than what demons souls did so people expecting a souls clone with overpowered enemies will most likely be disappointed.
Graphics over gameplay should be the motto for gen 8. I'll keep saying it, can't have both on consoles and since we have so many graphic whores on consoles gameplay will continue to take a back seat for prettier pixels, at least for the first 4 or 5 years...

DS combat gets a pass? The enemies are a bit more reactive in the souls games yes, but lets not pretend like the souls games dont have cheap combat elements as well. Sorry to tarnish you guys worthless achievement, but please just stop.
