Really hope this turns out to be a sleeper hit like dragon's dogma was for me, one of my favorite rpgs this gen. Combat and gameplay are everything to me and both look very good with this one.
The lot of you all play videogames for All the wrong reasons. Lots of insecure people here using videogames as a crutch.
Every mod I see for pc is for graphics. Graphics. Same gameplay, shinier pixels. Really? How can you get so excited over a better picture when the games already look good? With the same gameplay mind you!
Can't believe people waited just for pretty pixels. Let me know when there are real improvements to the gameplay aspects, and im not talking Fps' s either. Im talking changes to fundamental gameplay, added enemies on screen, better A.I. etc...

Sigh. The souls series is so much more than just dieing. These fanatics that are obsessed with such a silly stat are going to hold this series back and ruin it. Instead of allowing the devs to actually evolve the gameplay they are going to be hamstrung with always trying to up the "death" count, even if it doesn't fit in with the current situation.

Glad Cerny was able to convince the money hats to get out of the way for the good of gaming. Still no reason to buy a next gen console yet, unless you have sequelitis but ps4 is definitely the way to go for next gen...

The only people insulted at that statement are the weirdos that play the souls series for a sense of life achievement. The game is artificially hard in the first place and none of them are actually hard to begin with. All of them are fun and some of my favorite, but a segment of the fanbase is just ruining the series for their own personal shortcomings.

If only more folks realise this or simply admitted it to themselves we could avoid these stupid debates. The enemies aren't hard as in complicated attacks that are unpredictable, their simply overpowered. Resetting all the enemies upon death isn't to make the game harder, it's to lengthen it.

Smart move Sony with the double dip. Instead of releasing both versions at the same time they'll be able to get the same people to rebuy the same game. Right on par with MS holding back the 360 version of titanfall so it will sell more xbones. Gotta love these companies!

Which is what's really holding the series back imo. Even after the devs gave the players various ways to increase the challenge you still have them down playing the game.

It was done for that very reason, to stop people from farming. Don't expect it to be changed.
