When was the last time either of you replayed AC or AC2? Or UC1? Running around collecting dumbass collectables for worthless trophies doesn't add replay for a lot of us.

They simply aren't interested in games but controlling the living room and will try any method to attain that goal. They know core gamers got them where they are and are hoping core gamers (i was one of them) will fall for the okey doke one more time only to be discarded when they've reached whatever sells goal...
Believe it or not some devs prefer to focus on gameplay instead of *gasp* the graphics. Blasphemy I know but some do exist.

A gamer who only plays sims isn't a gamer in your world? Or virtual chess? Just boom boom shooters? Generic hack and slash? Since we're slinging out opinions here's mine, if all you play are console shooters you're definitely not a gamer, especially if you only play on one platform.
Why? So you can feel better about your purchase? Not everyone gives two craps about updated pixels.
And there you have it folks, main reason we keep upgrading consoles is for graphic upgrading. In other words, we dont really game, we like tech demos to show off and brag about to the competition. We're too stupid or lazy to jump to pc for our graphical fix so we'll sully the console market with the same games over and over but with a new shiny coat of paint.

There are PLENTY of games many people haven't played for last gen, so what? Are we to remake every game so that those unfortunate few don't feel left out?
I won't be rebuying them, no worries on that end, but to do nothing or say nothing is to enable these companies to continue this practice. Some of us dont just think about ourselves, we think about the overarching effect our singular actions have on the entire industry.
