I also heard that they're selling it at cost. Sure not at a loss, but at the very least they're not profiting off of the X alone.
Agreed. He also said he doesn't like announcing games that need 1-2 more years development time before being released. He also said they've got multiple projects in development that they don't want to talk about just yet.
I'm perfectly fine with all of this personally. Xbox under Phil has definitely taken a more mature approach to gaming.
He promised us a powerful console, he didn't disappoint. Now he's promising us 1st party excl...
Lots of misunderstanding here, Xbox One X was never catered as a 4K 60 FPS box.
It was catered directly as a native 4K box, nothing more. FPS optional.
Don't believe me? Go back and read up on everything Phil Spencer said regarding Scorpio/One X.
This is being blown way out of proportion.
Could honestly care less about it TBH. I tried the Occulus Rift out, it's a cool concept but it isn't really mainstream. Let's see where VR stands in a couple years from now.
No need to rush things out anyways, wouldn't mind seeing a unit with better cable management and a reasonable price to justify purchasing it.
$599 in Canada 😟
Even after conversion it should actually be $672 but still, a bit of a steep price to overcome.
I'll probably get it still, just not day one anymore as planned.
$599 up here in Canada. What's sad is with the conversion rate it's actually selling below what the converted cost should be (add an extra $80).
I'm not sure how I feel about this, that price is making it very difficult for me to want to pick one up.
For those that may be wondering, the Pro is $499 up here.
The only thing better then the cat would be freaking humans manning giant freaking machines with freaking massive guns on them.
In other words.....
BRING BACK MECH ASSAULT!!
Sorry I've been wanting to see this forever 😁😁
Yes indeed! This E3 is looking better and better.
@4Sh0w
What model from Samsung? I'm running a 65 inch KS9000.
Picture quality is out of this world!
The hype IS real!
Then why has Phil already said 1st party is a priority?
$399 or $450 almost guaranteed
I'm in the same boat as you 👍
@ Allsystemgamer
If you haven't read up on the Digital Foundry articles I encourage you to do so.
You can't think of Scorpio as a traditional off the shelf parts type of console.
It's a marvel of engineering, you'll see 4K like never before.
Latest sources indicating a $399 price tag.
I won't lie, even I have a hard time believing that, I still think $450 will be the price tag.
That being said, either of those prices are fantastic for a console with this much potential.
And to answer the headline question: hell yes, can't wait to get my hands on this console!
Well said. Too many Sony fanboys on this site doing full damage control. MS has turned a new page, that much is obvious, anyone refusing to believe that is downright ignorant.
"6>4." Haha love it
The hype is real!
6>4. Haha love it.
The hype is real!
Well considering the demo was running on an Xbox One Slim (Confirmed) and it looked decent, yeah I bet it will look DAMN good on the One X.
