Yep, can not wait to play Skyrim on the NX at 720p with emphasis on the last 2 digits (fps).
Outdated comparison between the most-known racing franchises .. in 2015 Forza reached 20mill. Doubt they´ve sold 10 mill. since then but if some have up2date data please let me know :)

1º Need for Speed at 150mill. sold copies
2º Mario Kart at 100mill. sold copies
3º Gran Turismo at 75mill.
4º PGR? Metropolis Racer / Forza
ps now costs 10 bucks if not mistaken and it was as low as 7.50 ($99 sub) ;) cheaper than xbox pass with 4x times as many games.
My point was that, while those 2 are optional (to you) .... right now .. with the next generation they´re probably not anymore. It was about the worst case scenario where every publisher will have their own service.
Ubisoft U Play ~$10 ea/month
Activiosn ~$10 ea/month
EA access ~$10 ea/month
Sony ...
Really .... Sony sold 1mil. PS4 WITH Knack and Kill zone and 20 other titles in like 24h in the USA only. Let´s be honest for a sec, without Zelda as launch title the Switch would have been a "minor disaster" for Nintendo.
- EA access $30
- Xbox Live Pass $120 to rent old games with some newer ones, you can already get for cheap as $15 - 25 ... with an option to BUY your rented games.
- Live Gold $60
=======
$210 every year to play older 360 games and some select few 2 year old xbox one titles ..... "ONE DOES NOT OWN" .
After dropping $120 and if you want to keep playing Halo Collection but not keep up the subs... gotta buy it most likely at retai...
Thank god it is the only one .... cause we don´t need more crap like that..

Kinda hypocritical isn´t? 75% of the sales come from physical/PS4 software sales. If EA Access was doing well .. everyone would be doing it. EA Access is only worth to those playing only Madden/NFL/FiFa .. for everything else it is rubbish.

I buy games on discs, play thru them ... sell them 4 to 7 days later back and get roughly 80% back of my investment (being doing that for a decade, i´m one of their "favorite customers"). Cheerio Darth 72. Yes! I pay 20€ for each new title or €70 for 3 to 4ish games (depends obv.)... the retailer does not give a fuck. He can resell "my games" for 90% of the original price and still sell that copy to a new customer.
If Sony/nintendo had a <<2nd...
When Sony announced PS Now everyone was outraged, how can they do dis or do dat. Now M$ does it too ... and suddenly it is the greatest thing to ever happen. Sure it makes a difference if you download or stream the game but
- PS-now is pretty much instantaneous
- Xbox Live Pass ... well you gotta wait for it to finish downloading, to download those old 360 titles.
- Windows 10 Store is crap ... even worse than GFWL.
- EA access is plain rubbish 44...
...well with the add. 25% boost in portable mode, it is probably lower now too.
before the boost
~3h to 5h at 307mhz (100%)
after the boost
~2.5h to 4h at 333mhz (125%)
Someone has to update this image, missing whole 2016/2017

Sadly those days are long gone. In the sea of contemporary shaite games ... mainly competitive nonsense/F2P (Ego Shooters, MOBAs and every other crpa) ... it won´t have the same impact, as 20 years ago. WE got too many d*mb people "calling themself" gamers ... that only play 1x game or type of game nonstop for years to come (primarily the pc gamer).
Someday in the future, we will reach a point of no return ... either those dipsh**s start diversifying their po...
GT launched 1998
19 years old with 6 main games + 1x PSP game and 5 "bigger paid demos called prologues"
76,000,000 x $30 = $2,280,000,000,000 (12 entries at 6.3mill. copies sold each)
Versus
Forza launched in 2005
soon 12 years old with 6 main games and 3x spin offs (total of 9 games).
22,500,000 x $30 = $675,000,000 (9 entries at 2.5mill. copies sold each)
Far from that $1bill. they claim....
How about you pc fanatics drop $250 on a PS4/XB1 with few games instead of upgrading constantly your PC for absolutely no reasons at all. How come we keep reading "PC Gaming Market reached $30bn this year and will increase next year" ... when Steam with twice as many games has seen a actually drop (revenue).
WHY do you keep upgrading then? If ya dont play/buy any games ... if you can afford to get a new GPU every 10 months, maybe just maybe it´s a good idea ...
.. no WONDER you find this gen to be sucky :

Looks like fun, but at the same time ... repetitive? and very open-ended-sandboxy? Any "minecraft" like community tools, building aspects or is it just about getting a ship with 4 other friends and fight other 5 dudes and dudettes for virtual-meaningless-gold-coins -for-digital-mead?
Has to be F2P game, don´t see this going for $60. Visually nice, gameplaywise ... gonna wait for a more in-depth review.
Yep, freshly minted in perfect condition - dollar bills!
$399 would be a megaton tbh (with 6Tflops), but maybe they have to tone it down, to keep the price/temps low? I simply can not see, how AMD can put a 6TFLOP die-gpu within an apu (incl. cpu+cache etc) and keep it as small as possible all at 28nm? or lower. Microsoft is most likely going a different route this time, them stating that the console trad. are over and something new was required.
The console market has ALWAYS been the faction of the size (PCs), even back in the 80s/90/s and now in the future. Lot´s of ppl. use PC to work and other stuff, besides gaming .. most of them do. A fact this article misses to share is, that while there are undeniably less console gamers ... for some reason WE still generate more revenue from software sales.

I used to stream and game with an i5 4670K (not oc at 4ghz) thanks to the IGP. Worked well until the newest version of OBS was released, haven´t tried anything since then, but use the IGP or any $30 cheap 2nd gpu to free up CPU resources.
Quicksync LA-IPQ at around 25-31 delivered solid results (local recording / or streaming). Downside of all this > you need a fast upload connection, files gonna be big. Tested with GW2 (cpu heavy mmorpg), all i had to do is use ver...
