The difference? Judging by the last few years of comments on this site, I'd say the difference is that native is the only acceptable resolution and upscaling is garbage. That's been the general consensus, no?
@Aenea
Goal post moving? Really? If you're going to tout 4k, it better be for CURRENT games coming to the market. I could run pong at 4k on my computer, but it wouldn't exactly be impressive. Also of note, I never said anything about the Pro doing native 4k. You're the one that brought that into the discussion. I've no doubt that some games can be native 4k. What I'm asking is "Are there any NEW games coming out that are native 4k?" Plain and s...
@Stogz
Power has always mattered to me. It's why I have a gaming PC in my collection along with with my xb1 and ps4.
@blackblades
I agree. The option of USB music is a plus in my book so you don't have to use internal storage for music. That and with current gen consoles only employing SATA2, we don't need any I/O being taken up just for music.
I like this if it means I can just install each separately instead of needing all 3 games installed just to play 1 at a time. Hope this sets a precedent for future titles that are comprised of multiple games.
Consoles are starting to reach Apple level praise it seems. I remember the old joke being that Apple could release a masonry brick and call it an Pphone and it'd still sell millions. Not that I think the Pro is a bad product, but it and the Scorpio are both going to be just as outdated at release as the OG ps4 and xb1 were. There's really nothing special about the current hardware or these next "Premium" consoles being released.
It is interesting right? Upscaling has been bad all generation until now.
Any games that aren't last gen?
Of course it's capable. 4k means nothing. If we're playing pong at 4k, are you going to be impressed?
This is why REAL mods are beneficial.
My examples are ridiculous? You trying to pass off user generated content as mods just makes you look uneducated.
Well for the average Millennial Joe who lives in his mommy's basement, that extra $18 is a burden because he doesn't pay the electricity bill.
Yes, because I'm sure mods for this farming simulator game will be extremely complex *rolls eyes*
Wow. I'm guessing you want to stay away from reptilians too?
What are they allowing mods on? Games that have builtin level editors are not mods. That's called user generated content. It's not modifying anything with the actual game. Please people, learn the difference. And please don't bring up the garbage that is Farming Simulator lol.
It's still not the same as mods. Peanut butter tastes like mashed up sweet peanuts. That could certainly be making a point, but nowhere in this discussion does it belong. Just like user generated content. Hell, I can paint something in MS paint and share it to a friend. I just modded the heck out of that game didn't I?
As does MS.
What sony game is getting mod support? Please don't mention some game that lets you design your own levels. That's not mods.
With enough optimization, I believe it might be able to pull off 4k30. And if that's the case, the XB1 scorpio might be able to pull off a whopping 4k 40-45fps. Either way, it's going to come down to platform of choice.
"Well, the vast majority of XBS sales were from current XB1 owners"
Is there a source for this? I'm curious to see numbers.
