yes i'm sure street fighter is such a small game that it wouldn't have been possible without Sony. It's pretty much the de-facto fighting game for competition. You can bet it would have been made either way. Sony bankrolling just helped the process like MS and tomb raider.

I've never understood the desire for flight sim on the consoles unless they released some sort of realistic flight sticks to use. Arcade combat flying games are fun of course but I think an actual flight simulator would be downright boring with a gamepad. I may have been too spoiled by the varying amounts of yokes/sticks/pedals growing up with flight sim on pc to understand the desire for it on consoles though.
Are you more worried about that "weird 900p" resolution than how it actually looks? Have you seen both consoles side by side? I find it amazing that so many fanboys believes 900p changes the look/feel/gameplay of any game. It's like sony fanboys think the xbox looks like a super nintendo or something. Xbox=Lowest midrange, PS4=SLIGHTLY higher in the lower Midrange. PC=Low-Mid-High-Ultra-Stomping all over the competition

You're correct that maintenance happens more on the xbox but not complete outages like this. Xbox Live being down hasn't caused me to not be able to play my digital games either. I feel for any gamer who can't play the games they've paid for. It's my biggest worry about being all digital with my games. *Knocks on wood
