Watch the Nintendo Direct where it was announced. It was a remake with completely new assets and modeling. Its not a HD port.

The Wii U usually averages 5-8K a week. Its at 14K. Pikmin 3 is selling consoles.
Yet it outsold the PS3. Don't damage control the situation.

First of all, no one title can "save" a system. The Wii U needs many good titles. And it's a summer game, Nintendo isn't hedging their bets on a Summer title.
DKC, Mario, Wii Fit U, Zelda, Sonic, Wii Party U, are probably all going to sell more and sell more Wii U's.
Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Bayonetta 2 next year. It's a stupid to even phrase this question. No one title will save anything.
When was the last time a console that launched for $500 and wont sell well in Japan won the console war?

I guess for 'home consoles' yes....but dedicated gaming devices, no. The Nintendo 3DS smoked everybody in the US, Japan, and Europe, including the 360.
And it's not going to slow down.
Pikmin 3 does have online leaderboards and rankings, but I agree. I would have loved to have online co-op at least

No, not sales wise, that's why it's coming out this summer in stead of Fall.
As far as quality, sure. The Spies vs Mercs looks really cool. The story is generic, but shaping up. The graphics are sharp. It has co-op.
There are many things to like about it.

LOL, if your facts are skewed, that leads to a skewed judgement. Which you clearly have on Wii U. Like I said, get the damage control ready by December cause things will be different by then.

Good to see two Wii U exclusives in the top 20 sales. Looks like Pikmin 3 made some people go out and buy a Wii U, then in turn bought New Super Luigi U and Pikmin 3.
