That will change with Pokemon X & Y, Monster Hunter 4, Phonenix Wright, and other huge games hitting the 3DS. The 3DS is the top selling dedicated platform in the world right now. Don't damage control the success Nintendo is having with the platform, the sales are insane.

It's called advertising to the Wrong fanbase. Suda got his big break on the Wii with Nintendo fans and No More Heroes. No More Heroes 1 and 2 sold over 800K combined, which is not huge in the grand scheme of things, but by far is the best selling games he's ever made.
Suda released Shadow of the Damned on the PS3 and Xbox 360, and both games failed to even reach No More Heroes 1 on Wii.....combined.

Nintendo's approach to the Wii and Wii U are completely different.
They tried to go after the PS3 and Xbox 360 crowd with Wii U and failed. With the Wii they went after the casuals from the beginning.
Nintendo's online is awesome by the wa. MiiVerse is really good, and the games that do have online play great.

Is the Wii U version cheaper? Is there exclusive content for the lack online mutliplayer? How do they expect it to sell when it's mission a full online multiplayer mode?
We've seen Watch Dogs on the PS4, and Xbox One. Graphics alone doesn't make a game superior to me. Its the gameplay. Miiverse with the hacking multiplayer could be really cool, especially when you have whole communities dedicated to that.
I'll personally take Off-TV play, Miiverse, and the benefits of the Wii U Gamepad over slightly better face details, or water waves.
The PS4 is $399.99 + Tax + online multiplayer = Over $500. The Xbox One is $4...

The Wii U version of Watch Dogs looks good and adds a different element of play style with the Wii U gamepad. If you consider MiiVerse a benefit to games like that then I don't think you could call the Wii U version inferior.

That would be the worst idea ever. How can Nintendo develop a new system in 1 to 2 years time? The losses they would take would be massive.
The best thing for Nintendo to do is keep making games and work with 3rd parties and indies to release games on the Wii U.

If you don't know the digital sales, there is no way we can determine if sales of a console title are cutting into sales of a portable title.
