The Playstation Plus h8ers didn't do very well on this thread.
Forgive me for sounding perhaps ignorant. But I think all it came down to was who came out with the acceptable quality first. The 360 is NOT a better console than the PS3, but it came out long before the PS3. This was a HUGE factor.
We forget that the masses like new and cool things, and will buy things just for that reason. (That's why the Wii blew up the world when it first came out...something "new".) That's why every system updates and re-packages itself...
It's a figure of speech but allow me to clarify. Walking into a room and having a game freeze via loading is not unique to Skyrim, happens very rarely, and is not one of the problems that are apparently endemic to the PS3 version of the game. I've never come across the game-breaking issues that people bring up on the web.

Only problem I have is sometimes walking into a room and the game completely freezes.

You can be assured that Sony has spent every bit of coin possible to have the best defense against hacking right now. And nobody will ever know exactly what it is.

Not saying it's the best game ever, but I can't think of a game that has won more awards. It could be simply because there are more awards to be given these days too:

Japanese devs are too busy trying to make the cheapest games that yield the most money, hence lots of focus on PS2, Wii, DS and portable things and not investing in the high end systems.
So, they are killing themselves --- with a few exceptions.
