I don't have to hate to have an opinion. I still buy JRPGs and support Square. But don't make up a brand new account just to tell me they are just as good as they always were. That's straight falsehood.
Ratings-wise (the true measure of a game's integrity), WRPGs have overshadowed JRPGS. Worldwide. Even Famitsu gave Skyrim a very high score, and Skyrim is nothing (imo) compared to Witcher 2.

But do you remember when FF7 came out? Not only was it the best RPG at the time, it was the best GAME at the time. Nothing came close to it graphically, either.

No, an opinion can't be wrong. And I've been spreading myself out trying to play these games too. But when FF7 came out, it was as technology deep and sharp (not just graphic wise) as any game at the time. I long to see that today in a JRPG.

I wish Sony had invested in an JRPG this gen that truly took advantage of what a PS3 is. Closest I've seen is White Knight Chronicles, Valkyrie Chronicles and Demon Souls. I only truly enjoyed Valkyrie Chronicles, and that isn't even a true JRPG.
